I don't play one. But based on the AREA chat comments I read.. I'll say no.
Caveat: EVERYTHING is viable, early on doing the main quest. Especially on Normal mode. It's End game where stuff gets hard. (Oh and you will def be slower in leveling)
There's only one viable Paladin niche for endgame and that's support. Paladins also only have a very strict selection of viable engravings. And you really can't deviate from it because matchmade parties will inspect your gear and refuse you if you look like a liability.
Edit: You will of course do damage, but not anything close to like a DPS class.
No the Paladin DPS is not viable. Because the Paladin isnt a DPS.
Healers in this game are super saiyan OP
