PING Question

How much does a higher ping affect gameplay with this title? I'm in rural Central US and have noticed in the past when playing New World, that the server pings were always high for me and several friends. East Coast servers being much better than West Coast for us, but the minimum Ping we see in New World is around 80 with average being around 107. Quite ridiculous in my opinion since None of us have high ping like that in any other game servers where we connect to the East Coast. This being on the same Amazon servers and seeing that they still have no central servers kinda of worries me. So I'm curious to know if Ping will be a major factor with this title and decent gameplay, (rubber-banding and lag spikes).

Awesome, I was seriously considering dropping my founders pack over this. Since high ping can potentially be game breaking with some titles. Thanks for the insight!

I've played on the US servers from EU at 100-150ms ping during one of the tests. It wasn't a problem generally. Obviously there's a disadvantage there, especially in PvP but it wasn't absolutely game breaking or anything.

I've also played the RU version a lot where it was 100+ ping. It's ok. You can deal with it. Rubberbanding or spikes weren't a thing.

Good stuff. Yeah rubberbanding into death is never fun. That was a main worry. I was having flashbacks to the early days of PoE playing HC mode.
