I also did limited testing on a Sorc and Machinist. Mentioning this just to show I have not done enough testing to give a proper answer.
https://imgur.com/wQYLg2p My Paladin disagrees.
I'm kinda not even kidding. I feel like I can fail most the mechanics and still win with that guy. Although I actually did almost die in that image. I went too far lol.
Jokes aside. I actually don't recommend Pally. His damage kinda sucks and its annoying.
I went into these raids with a full DPS build and i'm not even sure if thats ideal.
The solo raids offer that support buff. Gives you damage boost when you cast buffing spells or something like that? I'm wondering if thats what I should be using. Instead I went with the back attack buff.
So I would say he can already dps. But if they add a new set in September that makes it better, Paladin will probably be really good at solo content.
edit: Also i'm probably not even using the correct skills on him. I kinda just winged it and picked what I thought looked good without any testing.
I'm open to suggestions.
there are many Swift Build/Classes just choose which ever catches your fancy
If you are only ever going to play solo content play what ever you want. Solo content is easy, theres no dps issue in the raids its just knowing how to do the mechs.
As a "new" player I wouldnt play
Slayer, Scrapper, Deathblade, EW Deadeye, Soul Fist, Striker, Sharpshooter, Gunlancer, Destroyer, Reaper...anything thats a back attacker or has to have understanding of a boss fight.
Soul Eater is find but if you are Nights Edge you need to understand how to do your rotation or you will do no damage.
Zerker, Shadow Hunter, War Dancer, Gunslinger, Scouter, Pistol Deadeye, Breaker and Arty are all fine, or any of the Sups.
Classes that use Swift as a main or sub stat will always be easier in solo play, or class with high mobility such as Soul Eater, Slayer, Pistol Deadeye, DI Shadowhunter, Deathblade, Reaper, Scraper, Gunslinger.. and a few others, but you have to factor in if they are back/front atackers along with having long skill animations or managements that rely on you knowing everything about a boss fight
