Yes, the patch notes.

Valtan Solo = 350g
Valtan Normal = 750g

you learn the raid and get the gear you need then you do it in a group and earn the gold

yeah the gold rewards for solo are a huge joke
its like only 1/3 of the gold all over the raids

for example vykas also group mode 1500. solo 500
nobody plays a raid for 500 gold :D

How easy? can a brain dead casual person who thinks COD on console is peak E-Sport FPS skills be able to do this raid?

Yeah, unless you need the gear or something don't even do any raids until later in the week.
Good chance you will just skip right over Valtan.

Ideally you want to skip over Valtan, Vykas and Kakul. But thats a stretch if youre brand spanking new.

Also remember, honing costs 0 gold up to 1540, engravings 5x3 is 100% free, and you can buy Lv.7 gems from the new raid among other things.

Tell me more about this Level 7 gems from raids, you saying you don't need to farm the nasty dailies anymore to get these gems? you can get everything you need from just legion raids?

This is sounding like a real game now, no more nasty gate keeping due to solo mode etc

Doing solo raids gives you tokens. You can spend these tokens in the new raid shop.
So yes, you make less gold when you solo raids. But you gain other important stuff from this shop to make up for it.

Level 5 Tier 3 bound Gem Rewards will now be granted to players for completing the Punika World Quest.
-Lv. 6 and Lv. 7 bound gems can be exchanged in the solo mode shop after meeting the following Item Level requirements:
-- Lv. 6 gems can be exchanged after reaching Item Lv. 1415
-- Lv. 7 gems can be exchanged after reaching Item Lv. 1540

From what I hear the gems are pretty cheap. Lv.7 is 100 tokens and you get a few hundred tokens from the raids? I don't know the exact numbers.
I'm trying to avoid doing any raids until later in the week as I don't know if ill be needed in group raids or not.

edit: Alright the tokens are called Clear Medal, I have 2,425 of them (I have only done Valtan), Lv.6 gem pouch lets you choose 1x CD or DMG gem for 50 tokens. Lv.7 gem is 100 tokens and you can buy them as many times as you want.

yeah unless you're doing it to learn or whatever, otherwise why would they give you same amount of gold if it's a walk in the park in solo? being less gold makes more sense considering you don't really play the raid on same difficulty when you play it with a full raid party.

true, and you get materials and stuff too so it's not like you get nothing out of it, it's really helpful for new players too specially when you mainly get denied from entering a raid cause people looking for 1600+ with roster lvl +200 for brel party, i've seen those parties and i was just laughing at how ridiculous that is, when i make my party i don't judge the player based on their roster level or item level but they do, and some people even leave the raid party if i invite someone with roster level 50+, it's pretty pathetic community tbh, they don't wanna give anyone a chance.
