According to steamcharts and the concurrent players, we have over 70k playing right now, not even ffxiv, ESO, gw2 or BDO have such numbers... NOT EVEN COMBINED lol

why is Lost Ark such a massive success? what's the secret to be the greatest and have so many players?

why is this game superior to all other mmos maybe except WoW the king of mmos?

FF XIV is mostly played outside of steam, so the numbers on steam are much lower than they are in reality.
Lost ark has a lot of bots, but saying that 75k players are bots is just funny.
Can you share this revenue ranking? I'm quite interested to see it... or is it another bs?

FFXIV has one advantage, i'ts decades old, an ip from late 80's with a huge fanbase.

that being said it's even more impressive that Lost Ark has more people than something like FFXIV which cant rally all the apologists and fanbase to surpass Lost Ark.

most of them are bots. and alot of people go freaky as creating a second account to farm more gold and keep up with the slavery in this game.

I know FF14 is played outside of Steam. I use Steam as a point of reference to point out how bad currently lost ark is. A game with more players and earn less and with a terrible review than a partial game on Steam. Lost Ark is pretty much done in the West given Steam is the only platform it is on.

Hes also comparing it to a game with a $80-100 (expansions included) box price and a $15/mo sub thats has its own standalone launcher free from steam.
What a mess.

Try setting the chart to United States or something. Then compare it to something a little more reasonable like Warframe.
Tell me what you think.

It is even funnier than that. They have so zero clue about video games and mmo's and have not a single logical argument, that they need to point fingers at other games to defend this one. It's like whenever you factually address a major flaw of Lost Ark their goto is always:
"But I know xyz has that too!", as if directing the focus on a different game can excuse the flaws of this one.
But thats just the top of the icecake, as you mentioned they compare things that dont even make sense comparing.
I mean to sum it up, desperation has many faces. This is just one of them.

but i am not surprised about that. i dont think too highly about most germans regarding games either.

we got a good bunch of p2w fanatics here + many people which are victims of sunk-cost-fallacy + many german players are highly toxic in most multiplayer games whenever anything goes south, seems all highly fitting for LA to me

but i may be biased, its just my personal experience

So when I look at that list and see a f2p game with p2w elements near the top. Does that concern anyone?
As a player wouldn't you want to see the game lower in the list?

I know very little about Warframe. Only that its f2p with p2w elements and Steam recommends it to me because I play Lost Ark.
The game is showing half the players and making a lot more money than LA. Is that not a red flag? Bit concerning, no?
Why and how is it sucking so much money from its players? (Not a real question. I don't care)

The more I thought about it the more I think we don't want to see LA at the top of the list.
Well, I don't. Hates would use it as a tool to shame the game if it was at the top.
I had a quote of a certain someone doing that exact thing but after watching Haku get banned right before my eyes for calling something funny, ill save it for later.

Good for Smilegate and AGS if it was at the top. Not so much the players.
