... This is the issues with online gaming.
T4 is a soft reset that removes a lot of the systems people do not like and holds new players back from playing "endgame" yet you get post like this, upset that others will be able to get things without spending 100s to 1000s of hours grinding for it or spending real money.
You never needed lv 10 damage or CD gems, you dont even need them to do G4 Thaemine.
They have always said T4 was coming out... and they were nice enough to allow you to transfer most of your T3 items into T4.
they are giving you free 5x3 for T3 and 6x3 for T4.
T4 lv 8 gems are stronger than T3 lv 10 gems because of sub stats...and sidereals level up to 8+++, 9, and 10 that puts them into T4 so think those that have them for funding the game when they come out.
well the loss of f 2,870,000 ++++++ golds . It's a "soft reset"??? XDD . well sir right now to carry out won the raid and the completion of the raids you need even currently x30 cards and high level gems are required,gs too higher than the required pub raid etc etc ..

I know little English and I understood what I was able to understand about new items t4 .
but hey if before you could do 5x+1 5x+2, now well they give you basic equipment to play 5x t3 and t4 6x AWESOME , FANTASTIC (xDD) , does this mean that with the new objects and with maxxed stone you can go for 6x2??? ? going in this direction true?? so then people will accept who is 6x1 and therefore we will have to rebuild each character as I was saying before. And phon tokens are limited \ and \ or shop.
But in fact all my disappointment is with the t4 gems and this fake "soft reset".
the soft reset would have occurred when the acctualy the tier 2 gems being moved to tier 1 gems, the tier 3 gems (the ones we have now) moved to tier 2, and the tier 3 gems now being left the same as you are now, but transformed and reworked into new gems . no disappearance but a transformation of all the new tier 3 gems currently in each player's possession. all this game for the new items . etc etc.
THIS is called and would have been a "SOFT RESET"
the soft reset you say is pure distortion of the real reality.

I dont know if theres a MMORPG other there that doesnt make its old gear obsolete at some point. Most do it every 6 months to 1 year, in Lost Ark gear from 4 years ago was still usable.

...I sold all my lv9+ gems on all my characters the moment I seen T4, made millions of gold, waiting for Monday for them to drop again before buying them back for cheap.
Today I ran 3 NM Thaemine raids, with random players
My 1620 SF with all lv 7 gems was top damage by a few million dps vs other 1620s with lv 9s and 10s.
My 1610.83 PS SH with now all lv 7 gems got into was 2nd highest dps losing to a 1620 SE and beating other 1610s and 1620s that all had lv 9s and lv 10 gems
My 1610.83 SE that has event gems was top in G1 and 2nd in G2 and G3 in a group with all 1620s with lv 9s and 10 gems
...If I was to do Thaemine sure I would need lv 9 gems for G3 and G4
Gems or gear dont make you good, every week I play with many +25 weapons and or players that have all level 10 gems that do zdps

So theres many different gaming meaning for hard and soft reset based on how its being applied.
For Lost ark the reset would be for item level, honing, and or gear.
Examples
T1 to T2 was a hard reset
T2 to T3 was a hard reset
Legendary to Relic gear is a soft reset
Valtan/Vykas Relic to Brel was a soft reset
Brel to Akkan was a soft reset
T3 to T4 is a soft reset for gear and gems, because they let you upgrade them to T4, if not it would be a hard reset and you would start over like you did from T2 to T3.

you want to compare the "resets" done previously t1-t2 . t2-t3 XDDD where you had all the time to farm the pheon tokens between events, where you didn't have to buy anything at auction house because you can and playerd without engraving gem etc and u will istant craft all u need after the completion of winning raids t1 t2 etc .
without gems, and the tier 2 gems were skipped upon their release almost immediately no one threw gold into gems tier 2.
and the negligible cost of both time and gold that immediately tier 2 gems cost NOTHING. compared to now the cost and time that the tier 3 gems have remained.
the change from tier 1 to tier 2 with the current state of tier 3, there has never been such a clear change in strength and gold as now.
in fact the progression did NOT make you pay anything, there wasn't even gold farming, only with the release of tier 3 and orha did this toxic system of build farming gold gems etc etc begin to exist BUT NEVER BEFORE. so the changes you call "soft reset" were made before and it's as if they never existed.
the only real "soft reset" that was done was the one on the cost books engraving which you didn't even mention. XDXD

100.000k gold 1x gems lvl 9 which turns into a value of 10k each. a 90% gold loss and this is called "soft reset"

Level 9 gems would turn into lv 7 T4 gems which we dont know what value T4 gems will be at because we have no idea what their drop rate will be.
Please go watch the LOAON video or read up on it. What part of they give you 6x3 do you not understand.
You also clearly didnt play when the game released on when KR got T3. You do not need pheons... you should have 500-1000s anyways if you have played as much as you said you have unless you spent them all on trying to cut a 9/7
When the game released in the West pheon were the biggest issue for players in T3 same for KR when T3 released, along with needing to buy legendary engraving books that cost 10k-30k each. 20 grudge books used to cost 400k to 600k, class engravings were 150k-400k, cutting a 7/7 could cost 10k, 20k, 40k heck 200k

anyways as I said this is the type of post that hurts the game, you dont want new players to play or have the same content as you because in your opinion they didnt earn it, this type of thinking kills games.
even if you have 1000++ pheon tokens they are not enough to build 6 characters. rng of the ability stone rng of the bracelets, are you really trying to defend all this?
You said it too, level 9 gems needs to complete raids. Do you mean to tell me that to win thaemine hm you don't need level 10 gems and weapon +25? how much does all this cost? when gold is lost at the exit of "tier4"? Isn't it necessary to have a premade organized team? not even with a full 1610 team are you able to complete the nm version and your "beautiful level 7 gems".
you said it. level 9 tier 3 gems will become level 7 tier 4 gems, so the cost of a level 7 tier 4 gem will probably be around 10-13k gold. A level 9 gem its cost was 100-115k as you also said.
rebuilding a character from relic to ancient with equipment alone costs 35 x 5 x 6 characters = total 1050 of this alone, not counting ability stone, bracelet, and quality of items.
so what exactly are you talking about? Are we both playing the same game or do you have privileges that us mere mortals don't possess?

do you play with an organized guild by selling the wts lobbis taking advantage exploiting
new players? by earn MASSIVE extra golds ?

only those who sold the wts lobbis instances have earned huge gold since the release of tier 3 by selling these instances, farming gold after gold thanks to the high gems and playing together.
those like me who have not sold these instances have not received gold bonuses for having farmed and obtained level 10 gems.
I'm not against new players being able to get gems more easily. But will it really be like this?

You literally don't need accessories the accessories you have right now are pretty much obsolete. I've actually sold all my accessories that are worth any gold because it's pointless to keep them.
All characters in tier 3 get the 5x3 support permanently along with level 7 gems permanently
When you hit 1620 and transfer your gear to tier 4 which automatically puts you at 1640 there's a whole new system that you can use and it gives you more or less 6x3 for free
Accessories are like accessories in other games like Black desert online where they just provide stats however you can level them up and they can be traded
Ability stones are basically gone ability Stones just provide extra nodes that give you bonuses to those engravings.
At 9 nodes what they showed grudge on an ability Stone gives you like an extra 6% damage at 7 it's like 3%
So you're 9/7 or 10 sevens are only worth at Max like 6% damage
And I'm pretty sure there's no way to get 6x3 + 2 or a 6x3 + 1
Elixirs in Transcendence are also getting their gold cut by like half and they're supposed to be easier to do
Bracelets are also getting changed where you get to keep all of the previous rerolls. You get to pick which one you want so you can roll the whole bracelet and then pick the lines that you rolled rather than getting stuck with whatever the final roll was
And yes you can clear Theamine on hm gate 3 and 4 with only level 9 gems it's been done it's been done with level 7 gems and you don't need a 25 weapon
I could be wrong about the equipment and there won't be a 6x+1 or 6x+2, we'll see.
the change in gems t4 is unjustifiable and those who have invested all their farmed money in level 10 gems have wasted too many hours of gameplay thanks to these changes. Because if I needed gold, I would have sold 1 level 10 dps gem for 450k gold.
now with these changes I will no longer be able to do it, all the hours of play done up to now are null and void. there is nothing to add. I
already explained how they should have updated the gems following which what logic. This is not a "soft reset". The wts lobbis will continue to be unbanned and the rng progression and infinite farming system will continue to exist. this is lost ark nothing more nothing less.
At this point you are just humiliating your self as the progression system is getting changed by a lot to make it a lot more new player friendly.
Let's correct some false info here:
Accessories will not have engravings anymore.
Stones do not give you engravings anymore they just amplify 2 engravings by just a little bit and to just give you a comparison a 10 9 stone is only 3% better than a 7 7 stone.
So no there won't be 6x+1 or 6x+2. Everyone will have the same exact number of engravings. EVERYONE and I say everyone will have access to 5x3 on any character even if you are naked, in T4 you get access to 6x3.
Let me add one more thing for you to cry about. There's gonna be Relic Engraving books and all current engravings will be weaker slightly until you learn relic engraving books which will end up being better than what we have now.
The new Ark Passive system is a lot more interesting.

rng is always present, you say that that 3% difference is "little", especially with this increase in even higher numbers even 1% difference makes the damage done change a lot.
The bus system is a community problem, don't buy em and people have to also as a community stop, I've seen some of those bus recently in Ffxiv online also for end game dungeon, bus exist because people are willing to pay for em. Lost ark did not invent them. Start learning parties and be stubborn and wait.
They already explained the bracelet, trans system nerfs coming to make it cheaper and friendly for people and at the same time passives, the bracelet system got overhauled so that you get pity and choose the choices of stats you roll the first time yes, theres were all explained on the loan video. You just questioned alot of system they planned to fix/simplify in season 3 for people. This is why people said "The next patch will save Lost ark"

for level 10 cdr reduction gems I lost 1/3. for levels 9 -8-7 I lost 1/3 of gold.
As long as wts lobbies are not banned, and there will always be this rng mechanic, no "Salvation" can exist.
But we'll see if "lost ark will be "saved" or will be repopulated again by endless hordes of bots.
-All your honing mats become redundant, and there are no conversions when T4 Hits. This means T3 Red/Blue stones, Orehas, fusions, and of course solars. Those you only will be throwing out, same as T1 T2 mats.
- Gems when converted to T4, they won't give the same equipped/cut skill dmg/cds. You need to gatcha roll all over again
- Elixirs/Trans only half gold cost. the real painful problem is the gatcha to begin with, not the gold, ROFL..
And there are so many other bull!@#@ when getting to T4.
So when you reach 1620 yes you get free 1640. But everyone know reaching ilvl for a raid(for example behemoth) isn't the problem. People gate-keep not just ilvl but your engravings, elixirs, trans, gems and of course cards
So again don't let the sweaty p2w fomos bait you or put lies to praise a gatcha p2w game.
