Gatekeeping in WoW is nothing compared to the level it reaches in Lost Ark. Lost Ark is the motherlode of gatekeeping. Just use the search function in this forum, and you will see.

Uhh... are you just saying random things or are you not aware of the huge drama thats been going on in WoW?

I used to think gatekeeping was due to the raids being challenging. Then WoW: SoD changed my view. If you don't know, SoD is ridiculously easy by design.

My stance on the subject is, I don't think anyone should ever be forced to play with people they don't want to, for whatever reason.

Totaly agree with it, it's an mmo based on social interaction either make your own group or find someone who willing to teach you BUT! you cant deny so many things seriously! wrong in the game and it has to be fixed asap otherwise LOA near future doesnt look so bright.Bec as you can see every update keep dividing ppl from each other and giving another reason for gatekeeping.Elixir - Transendence literally the one bring the death blow to the game atleast from my perspective.

gatkeeping is way worse than any mmo or any online pve raid game. Go play Destiny 2 raids, it has hard wipe mechanics as Lost ark but there is hardly any gatekeep, or FF14.

These are the top 2 raid games atm.

Another main reason, Lost ark raids have"premium" currency and items locked behind when clearing latest raids. gold and other items. Which the other items require gold from buying those said meta acessories..
On top of all these gold can be purchased by other premiums XD. Royal and Blue crystals XDDDDDDD

It is sad. but it is what makes koreans horny.

Gatekeeping is terrible in Lost Ark. It is by design that raid wipe and one shot pattern is very common even in normal mode raid which supposed to be farm content. That is why people gatekeep just to have a smooth run.

People also gatekeep you on others item like card, gems, demon damage that it takes years to get. The only way to avoid gatekeep is having 7 other friends to play with , not the usual "open your own group" or "join a discord".

Ironic those are the majority "toxic" groups, and who become way more gatekeepy. While free carrying their noob Elcheapo friend or friends.

The whole reason i brought it up wow and gate keeping was its same gate keeping or Raid locked same thing not to disscuss wow. simple im not wasting my time just to have the toxic community to tell me even tho i play and pay same as you but you can tell me i cant play they are the same both games toxic as hell and the dev could do better in this fact but dont. they could of made everything open community but didnt. I got my answer from the first post and uninstalled already. so Devs Lock this tread no need to continue the discussion. Shame i waited 10 years for this ? ill never get hyped for a game again lol

Nothing comes close to the gatekeeping in Lost Ark. People who thrive on gatekeeping will try to distract you with elaborate stories and links supporting their narrative, but it's all hot air.
If you're a true gamer, you'll see through all this noise because the truth always rattles those who enjoy a toxic environment.

Lost Ark is a garbage game rife with gatekeeping, and gatekeepers love to point fingers at other games to distract from the real issue. Who cares about WoW? It's just another fallacy to avoid facing the truth. No real arguments there.
