I was just copying remarks from another reply, but glad the impact was there...
Hopefully you reply back to the original with the same
Game's Competitive Aspect: "Even though this isn't a PvP game, there's still an element of competition in PvE content. Players often vie for raid spots and gear, creating a competitive environment, whether intentional or not. Saying a PvE game has no competition shows someone has either no clue or does not know how to apply logical thinking when looking at this topic."
Complexity and Side Content: "You mentioned taking it slow and enjoying side content, but not everyone appreciates mandatory tasks for power progression. This can sometimes feel more like a chore than enjoyable gameplay. Also not everyone is jobless and has nothing better to do and all the time in the world. Most people here have jobs and family and can not play a game 24/7."
Community Feedback: "Saying that only former players give negative feedback oversimplifies things. Current players can have valid critiques too, and understanding why people left can be insightful for new players."
Game Environment and Toxicity: "It's good to hear that toxicity has reduced, but any level of toxicity can significantly impact player experience. Even rare toxic encounters can be off-putting."
Manipulative Game Design: "Concerns about manipulative design aren't just from the uneducated. Many well-informed players also point out issues with game designs that encourage excessive play or spending."
Playing for Fun: "I agree with playing for fun, but some game designs can create addictive patterns, making it hard for players to just walk away, even if they're not enjoying it."
Catching up - and some people do not, let them try and find out, again bad attitude you aren't catching up to anyone, don't compare yourself to other people. You aren't competing with them.
Games competitive attitude is a toxic one, there is no competition, there is just a standard spec expected for a raid which lowers more and more over time, if you start getting into that toxic thought process you're going to have a bad time, not needed.
Side content, I am one of the people who does not enjoy side content, I find it a chore, but the chore is worth doing for the fun of the end game content. Not sure why you're implying someone needs to be jobless to do all this, that's a very tacky remark and again attacking people unneccesrily, it's all acquired over time, the taking it slow was to not rush and burn out trying to keep up multiple chars... Again another pitfall...
You are correct not only former people have negative views but I did not say only previous players have negative opinions, please don't twist my words, I also have criticisms of the game, the point is if you post a negative view should really state when you last played, and state why you left and what you didn't enjoy... Most people don't they post stuff like you did in your last comment attacking those who still play and insinuating anyone who starts and keeps playing must be uneducating and clueless... Major red flag much of a toxic bias individual trying to manipulate people into not playing?
maybe will change in the future but i doubt it will ever change
Which is a fundamental part of the gaming experience.
How do you not realise that you make zero sense as if you dont know what you are talking about or you never played the game before.
Couldn't have said it any better.
These people are pretending that LA is a solo grind type of game the way they are talking.
When in reality the majority of your time will be spent playing the lobby simulator. as a beginner you wont get accepted to any parties. and when you open your own.. guess what. no support will join because those are scarce and pick the OP groups instead. and even if supports join ur group will likely fail and vanish in the end.
and unless you p2w, that crap wont become better for months.
And even then you waste your whole life in this game, playing it like a job.. just to not even be able to fully enjoy the newest content as its designed for whales only to reach it.
These people literally have no clue, as they started the game close to release last year and never really stopped playing it
And now they will probably react to my post again doing some mental gymnastics, such as "just play support to avoid gatekeeping" or claiming that "this is the same in every game" , comparing puddles to an ocean, and blabla
Another classic is them comparing getting to the entry level of a new raid in LA to getting absolutely MAXED in another KRPG, when they talk about how "other mmorpgs also require so much time until they are fun"
But hey.. i guess this is why those people are so highly addicted to lost ark. As it provides the most insane, endless carrot on a stick in the mmorpg genre.
They wont even have reached that carrot after 20k hours of playtime.
You finally able to actually quest yet or still on that endless mob grind?
Don't let that carrot distract you from knowing how trash that game is lil bro.
but guess everyone can enjoy garbage games amirite?
Time gated content is for people with a job/life.
Games like Diablo 4, PoE, BDO, progress is linked to hours spent playing. No job means you can play more and have an advantage over people who can't play as much.
Silly I even have to explain this.
oh I have to wait till next week to do them again? wow so much more free time to play something else instead of worrying about doing raids every day like in some mmos.
that only took maybe an hour or two wow whoever said you needed to play LA like a second job didn't really know what they were talking about hahaha
get well soon
Many like the poster above me even keep blatantly lying and trolling to trick new players into the game
Sad to see but guess this is there only way of coping...
I know exactly what I'm talking about, it's believing toxic attitudes like this is what drives people away.
There is also an easy fix, start a group yourself and gatekeep noone, be the solution not the problem, there are many people with this attitude now, and it's getting better as time goes on.
Got a high ilvl character? Go join a party full of low ones, the problem is the mentality that was driven into people when the game was first released by people like you. Anyone who kept playing knows the reality.
Fact is the game itself is fun, it won't be for everyone, after thaemine the game will break or make. Even if op started and did all the raids once and enjoyed them, that's enough of a reason to start...
If you trick some beginners they are eventually gonna realize you were lying to them
And Lost ark will go down once we catched up unless they completely change the game
So in the end we are gonna have the last laugh
This knowledge makes it kinda funny to observe your mental gymnastics
Always needing to be right even when clearly wrong.
Don't tell the truth to any of these people or else they'll talk down to you and call you a paid shill and fanboy...
can't even say you enjoy the game without them jumping down your throat and them just bashing you for it :/
kind of sickening how they enjoy hating on others for enjoying LA...
Clearly the 2 users below me don't read anything since anything that's worth reading about this game was said on page 1 of this thread.
Just gotta take what they say very lightly from here on out ^^
