it's depends on how fast u want to progress and how much time u want to spent on the game, while it can be f2p as any other game and it can be wallet destroyer as any other mmo rpg.

Lost Ark is probably the second most toxic p2w game I know so far. Only game who tops that is Diablo Immortal but at least DI is actually fun to play.

You literally *have to pay for Pheons and Gear until T3* and be lucky to get 1100 gear within the first try to progress beyond what you are able to do alone within a week.

Beyond Argos and right before Argos starts pay 2 win. You cant make money before T3 anymore.

BDO is widely accepted as one of the worst p2w PC games. Due to you actually playing that game you have a very biased opinion and intentionally fail to mention it.
Also I don't believe I have actually ever seen anyone say Diablo Immortal is fun. *Slow clap*

Updated Pheon Requirements

• Tier 1 & 2 Equipment and Amulets and Tier 2 Ability Stones no longer require Pheons.

Tier 3 Accessories have reduced Pheon requirements:

• Rare Accessories have been reduced from 5 to 1.
  
• Epic Accessories have been reduced from 9 to 5.
  
• Legendary Accessories have been reduced from 15 to 9.
  
• Relic Accessories have been reduced from 25 to 15.

By the time you actually need pheons you will have got more then enough free pheons from the events. If you squandered them all away and need more your options are to use gold and buy more, wait a week for more free ones, spend money and buy some.

Most people crying p2w don't understand what Lost Ark is about. They seem to believe the entire point of the game is to get as strong as you possible can as fast as you possible can. That mentality is what ruined the game for them and why they appear to be so disgruntled when talking about the game.
This game is not a race, it has no leaderboards. Just sit back and enjoy whatever content your character is currently at. Everyone playing probably has at least 1 alt doing lower level content and im willing to bet most have an alt they enjoy playing, more then playing his/her main. I sure do and I have no intentions in leveling that alt to the next raid.
Machinist is my favorite alt atm and Valtan is my favorite raid so thats where hes going to stay. And I have more then enough mats in my storage to hone him to the latest raid.

EDIT: Sorry I lied. Game does have leaderboards. Don't know why I said that.
But it doesn't matter. All the leaderboards don't allow you to bring anything with you that would give you an advantage over other people. PvE or PvP.
