For Loyal Companion i go Crit + Swiftness, i can't asure you it's the best but to me it's what makes most sense.
LC now requires Spec
they are both cheap builds, Sharpshooter is one of the least played classes in the game.
LC is a very flexible class now, since last balance patch you can actually go all kind of crit/spec/swift combinations, they have different playstyles regarding speed and bird damage ofc. LC does NOT requiere SPEC to work, but afaik the strongest is full SPEC/swift with hallucination. its in a really good spot right now. most common builds are spec/swift // swift/spec // 50swift/50spec // spec/crit

but other builds are viable as well f.e. I use crit/swift + nightmare on my 1560 sharpshooter, that is not the strongest meta for him. but its very comfortable (no mana issue) because hes a lazy alt in my goldroster. careful - nightmarebuff does NOT affect your bird damage(scales with spec)! but hes strong enough to make it to the screen in all his raids
Sharpshooter is not cheap, the less a class is played the less lvl5 tripods and really good class-specific accessories are on the market, and if you play SPEC, its especially not cheap, also the nonclass-engraving accessories. If you build crit/swift its rather cheap yes. and engraving got cheap as well but that includes basically all engravings. gems are 5-6 dmg gems but theres variaty of skill setups.
