imo no, if i could go back in time and refund my platinum pack and never touch the game then i would, unfortunately i can't go back in time so unlucky, if you plan on rarely playing this game then it's not worth it as it's very grindy game and there's rarely any helpful people around etc, and missing a day or more is not good specially when it comes to guild donations after you join a guild that is, and login rewards / events etc,

however if you plan on playing it daily then go ahead but beware that for a new player you'll mostly see bots at the beginning till you reach the endgame continent and even there you'll see a bunch of bots, now aside from all of this let's not forget about the toxicity of people in this game is overwhelming, so you decide if you don't care about all of this or not, i used to say to people to "play at their own pace" then i was like wtf am i even saying? it'll take you forever to be able to catch up to anything so i'm not using that word anymore considering it's just me being high on copium.

You should give it a go, take your time. ignore anyone who tells you, you need alts to progress, you dont.

game is not a grind, it is slow progression its actually designed to stop you from grinding. Patience and slow progression. will take you probably 5 months to get to 1580 which will be the new end game in august.

You can't do anything without Alts, Played 6 alts daily and reached almost 4k hours, Gave up 1 month ago , can't do this repetitive bs everyday or every 3 days for rest bonus , even with playing daily you will not be able to catch up to the whales , unless you swipe or you make the game your daily 8-12 hours / day grind , don't bother :)
Was fun, even played in RU for 5 months+ but AGS keeps doing AGS things , yeah.

I mean, Cath's not wrong tho , Unless OP has 3-4 friends to raid with , its not gonna be worth it , or if you really wanna give it a try and have a better experience overall , go buy a vpn mudfish/exitlag and have some fun in RU version, 10x better.

Alts are a gold and mat consumer not gainer, i have 6 alts but only play 5 really, do valten on the 6th if im bored... i rarely do chaos dungeons, i use rested only at the moment except on my main and generally do two chars a day chaos then 2 chars guardians the day after... its what works for me. then i raid as much or as little as i fancy that week.

i started helping a random who started about 3-4 months ago, he now has one char 1540, another 1520 and just got his third to 1500 thanks to the latest pass... all f2p... Alts take far more mats and gold than they will ever earn you back if you play enjoy and want to progress them... people who play 6 alts and think its needed, need to take a step back and take a break...

The game is designed to stop you from grinding and take it slow, cap on chaos, guardians, cap on life essence, cap on raid entry. its designed to stop you grinding, give you the hint to take it slow and progress at a chill casual rate... this only feels harsh in the west as we are getting 3 years worth of content in just over a year...

If the guy i mentioned... didnt push a second character to 1520 or a third to 1500, he would probably be 1580 already... or very close to it.

all the people playing 6 alts and burning themselves into the ground blame the game.

blaming the game for allowing you to do more is like going to an all you can eat restaurant, eating till you literally throw up. Then you blame the restaurant cos they kept putting food out. same sort of thing, if you took your time, just ate a good amount and then chilled youd enjoy yourself much more.

I agree,Alts are not needed at all if you swipe , keeps the game healthy at least. So yeah you're right, either play constant 6 alts daily or swipe to be able to catch up a little bit.
Blame the game? Blame the company not the game, game was super fun, Combat was enjoyable , but the way things and content are managed and fixing issues , nah , thats a huge nah and made things way less enjoyable to a point I barely even login for Daily login rewards sometimes.
I do not swipe in the game, ever , I have way other things to worry about than swiping in game , I spent time instead playing 6 characters , doing my weekly raids , chaos and guardians on 3 day rest bonus but even then it became too much and it stopped being enjoyable , the only thing that kept me in the game was raiding with some friends , but day by day people on my friends list stopped loggin in aswell and either stop playing or switched to other games.

You dont need to swipe. thats misinformation, event mats + doing 1 of each daily a day is enough to slowly progress over a 4-5 month period

Game is still going and with all the people still here in this forum after the year and a half its been out I would say just to try it out.
If it was truly dead as some say then I feel like they wouldn't still be talking and giving their opinions on it. haha
Pretty easy to get into with the story event going on still I think. Helps you level through tier 1 and 2 faster so that's pretty nice.
