I quit because hardcore and the raids
If this game can just be friendly like not punishment raids and so much hard to get high gear score would be great
but i get tired of doing the same things and fail over and over
i don't have time like i have 9 hours job
i have things to do more players like me maybe that is why they quit
i wish if the gear score upgrades get easier and the raids get a bit normal not hard like this.

aha you want me to pay to progress
NOP am not even if i pay i need more time in this game

THIS GAME DOSE NOT RESPECT MY TIME
as that guy said in his video LUL

thats it for me
sorry for the poor English :)

This is a hardcore raid-focused game. Read reviews before playing a game.
I recommend DOTA 2....

Do you even know what catchphrase of LA is?
It's "For all RPG fans" or "With all RPG fans".

8-9 hour job is what most of us have not really an excuse since majority of players have similar how long do you think a normal school day is? go to school at 7am and come back at 3pm = 8hour, you had similar experience pretty much your entire life it never stopped you from going to sports clubs or doing what you want after your job/school, now if you told me you had 2 jobs and kids then yea i can understand.

the Raids were already nerft into the ground for Valtan, Vykas what more do you want, do you want them to be standing still and do nothing like in Diablo 4 and die in 2 secs
as of now the only hard Raid is Brel Hard mode which no tmany people actually do and Clown is still somewhat annoying for G3. the new Abyss Dungeon is not bad but just reuqires practice as of now since its new.

Just play 2 characters then. You will find playing 2 chars (parking one at 1460) and pushing a main, you can play for 30 mins a day doing dailies and raid 1-2 nights a week and you will be done and you will keep up with end game content.

if you are playing a lot of alts and actively pushing them all, you are hindering your own progression.

The game is designed to respect your time and make you stop. cap on raids, cap on dailies etc... if you use just event mats and mats from dailies on 2 chars youll make end game easy enough. its a game of slow progression not instant win.

But judging from what you said about raids and failing over over, probably not for you. most people are hooked by the difficulty of the raids and wanting to master them. if you get annoyed at others failing, remember you were learning once :P

game designed to respect your time lmao..how delusional can someone be
the only reason it is timegated is so they can make money from hardcore grinders too..cause they cant progress that fast either

i remember people posting stuff like "timegating is good so the addicts dont get too far ahead compared to the casuals"
yes..why can you pay money to skip the grind then?
Just maybe it is because this is not the reasoning, lmao

game is designed to disrespect you unless u grind it for many months or pay much money

The average joe cannot pay to win in this game. you have to have many thousands to pump into it. hence the whales.

the game is designed to stop most players at a point, the whales can go wherever they want but dont worry. you wont ever play with them.

been saying this for a long time on these discussions now. Alts are the grind not the enabler. i did the math based on the average honing chances etc of alts going to 1490 / 1540 etc. would take an alt a year of grinding to give you your mats / gold back.

also the misunderstanding that what we are experiencing is normal. its not, we are getting 3 years worth of content in little over a year. When we are caught up and waiting 10 months like korea, it will feel much more casual.

dont fomo. just enjoy it however you want to play.

this is just not true, my old discord server with my old static has 1 or 2 whales, but the rest are normal working people which just do almost nothing but play lost ark in their free time.. so they have money to throw away.. even if they are not big spenders, however u define that, they still spend a few hundred euros every month on the game

when we are caught up, i look at a months long grind full of timegating to even get up to the newest content.. even though i played 2000 hours last year
and if i played only 1 char and it would take me 30 minutes per day to do my stuff.. then why would i play the game in the first place? i wanna play as long as i want and not be timegated.

and if i use my alts as enablers they eventually get gatekept.. it happened before and it keeps happening. ilevel 1430 used to be enough on alts back then.. now its a joke.. then i pushed all of them to 1490.. then the good groups were all 5x3 and 1500+ at some point..now the engraving books are worth less and people dont even need to pay gold to 1460 or 1475 anymore?
parking alts at a low ilevel makes u play the lobby simulator forever.
and it devalues all of my time spent over time because of how vertical it is and how catchup works.

i dont know how you can tell people they should enjoy the game however they want to play it when the game is literally designed to not let you do that and limits you with everything

Not sure what your complaint is here. You can play as long as you want. if you are truly pumping that many hours into the game, and want to continue doing so, i dont see how you would be timegated... you should have one char akkan ready now, maybe more at brel hard etc...

or is your complaint that its now too easy for others to catchup as you mentioned gold books dropping in price ? when you have had to work so hard to get to where you are now? cos im of the opinion of give all new players a boost to 1490, give them 20 gold books of their choice bound for free class engraving, give them runes on first clear of guardians etc.

a few hundred euros a month spare to throw into a game... we might come from different walks of life there as that seems very abnormal to me. But either way, that isnt going to get them very far in terms of ilvl and gear...

i played that amount of time last year.. not this year.. people pushing their chars above 1490 at that time was inefficient..

and wanna play 1 char and grind chaos dungeons for 10 hours in a row to get enough shards and stuff in 1 go to upgrade my char.. or do a raid 10 times in a row on my main char without going through lobby simulator on every char again because i only had to search for a group once..
i dont wanna play this game 30 minutes to 1 hour every day on 1 char and show up to it on daily and weekly resets like its a job i have to show up to..
so how exactly does the game allow me to play how i want to play it?
you see how with your logic that applies to any game ever?
as long as u move within the boundaries of the game, no matter how much it limits you, you can play it however u want.. like what?

my complaint isnt really that its too easy to catchup for new players...also its not.. its like the old boosts to 1445 in november when u needed 1490-1520 in december already.. it only started to become really grindy at 1460+ anyways.. they only let players catch up to a point where it seems like they are close, but in reality they are not.. in reality those boosts are the nicest for players which already have well established accounts.. because it gives you another alt for few gold which makes farming a bit easier

in a while they will probably boost players to 1490 or even further.. engraving books wont be worth anything anymore either.. so my account is more or less worthless at that point..
how did it respect my time spent then?

the problem isnt that its too easy to catchup, it is how long it takes to progress.. this game only appeals to people which want to play the game for the rest of their lives and to whales which just skip most of the grind and actually play only for fun
this problem could be solved by them removing the timegating.. but they know they would lose so much money then.

imagine that you could clear a raid in 10 minutes which u already cleared 50 times before on your main over and over again.. instead of clearing it once on that char and being forced to log onto your weaker chars and taking way longer..

people would then surely also still leave the game and complain about there being no content.. because there really isnt much content in comparison to some other mmorpgs...and i probably wouldnt have played it more than i already did either.. but i would come back here and there like i do with other mmorpg's.
in this one the majority of people dont and they end up hating the game with good reason

i dont know which country you are from, but people here definitely have some hundred euros to spend on a game per month if their only hobby is playing games... most people just dont want to do that anyways...like me
because why would i spend such absurd amounts of money every month when i can just play games which are fun for a fraction of the price.. im not a millionaire
so yes its abnormal to most people.. but games like this attract these kind of people and filter out the rest you know...
the big majority of people play f2p and eventually leave games like this...then the playerbase shrinks and shrinks and at some point the big majority of the remaining players are the spenders.. because the game filtered out the rest

i feel you on a few of those points, i think giving people the option to run the raids multiple times on one character would appeal to many people, and would be a nice change. But it would have to be controlled greatly, i think its designed like this to stop gold going out of control. they would have to do it where you can run say valten the same amount of times as characters you have that are viable to do it already...

i know that sounds crazy, and allowing people with 1-2 chars to do it 6 times sounds awesome, but the reality is the economy would go out of control. Alts are the gold sink of the game, if you can have 1 char doing 6x each raid , and no alts to sink that gold into, economy would crumble. there is already too much gold in the game, they look for ways to take it out not put it in :D

so... done properly , could be a very nice change for the game to give flexibility! done incorrectly could have harmful effects.

you can technically grind chaos dungeons on one character for as long as you like, you can infinite grind them if you so wish and trade the material in for more mats etc. that option is there for you. but it would be a brutal grind because you dont get a lot XD

my opinion on the raids, is actually take gold away from them. Put gold somewhere else in the game... get gold from events instead , events give unas based on ilvl or char. you trade unas in for gold...

raids are no longer for a lot of people, quick runs to collect their cash... they are now doing them almost always for fun!

i dont understand this point and i feel like many people just repeat what they heard there..how would the economy go out of control? how is too much gold in lost ark bad when the honing prices and stuff stay the same?
if you can grind raids endlessly u have much gold... and there would be some inflation that is true..
but if you can grind chaos dungeons and raids and guardian raids all day.. guess what.. there is a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mats and accessoires too... so those go down in value... or it stays the same because of the inflation..who knows..you can actually be self sufficient like that almost.. maybe have to buy an accessoiry here and there..maybe an engraving book too.
but thats it..all other stuff is now easily grindable
now everyone could get to high ilevels in a relative short amount of time
gold would simply become less important

people claiming the economy would crash is insane to me, when in reality people wouldnt need to purchase much stuff at all anymore
it works in other games too...but in lost ark there are even people defending pheons even though no other mmorpg needs that kind of stuff
i feel a bit like some people are way too deep in lost ark and have way too few experience in other mmorpgs

but the discussion is kinda senseless, because im sure we both know they wont do whats good for the players, they will do whats good for their wallet.. they dont care if 100k concurrent players play the game when they can have 10k concurrent players which spend as much or more than 100k in a fair f2p game
thats why they only think about changes like "lets make them do 1 chaos dungeon per day instead of 2"
they wont consider solutions which focus the root of the problems, because thats how they make money

I am a Founder and all seven of my characters are 1370.

I have good skins and pets on all of them which is a big reason why I continue to play.

I still log in every day for freebies and I am hoarding them just in case I decide to upgrade later. ^ ^

Lost Ark is a great game but you don't have to raid and I wouldn't suggest even trying unless you have a really solid group of friends to play with.

You can still meet great people in random groups but it can be a crapshoot. 0 0

LA is a living economy, too many people have too much gold they hold onto, if they have even more then it will cause market to be unstable, healthy economy needs money pumping in and out.

also pheons are needed on accessories, otherwise it allows people to control the markets. they should not be on stones. I jsut buy 1 stack of blue crystals a week, the event pheons cover most of my accessories. if not buy the time i need to buy some, i have a ton of blue crystals.

like i said..other games dont need that kind of stuff either.. its exactly as i was saying.. some people never have seemed to play other mmorpgs and just repeat what they heard from some other people... so i dont see the point.

there are many people with too much gold in other mmorpgs too. there are people flipping the market in other mmorpgs too.. somehow those games still work and you can still play them way better f2p or by only paying 10-15 euros a month
also there are games like ff14 where you barely need any ingame money to even play the game

argumentation doesnt work for me since so many other mmorpgs have already proven that a game doesnt need this kind of stuff
you got manipulated by the devs and fanboys into believing this kind of stuff, even though its obviously not true

Absolutely, the beauty of choice is that everyone gets to decide how to use their leisure time.
If someone finds joy in heavily investing in a game that feels like a second job, then by all means, they should continue.
However, we shouldn't overlook the flaws this game is known for.
Botting and RMT practices are influencing game perceptions.
It wouldn't surprise me if those involved scour forums like this one, trying to present a rosier picture of the game than what may actually exist. That's just smart business, isn't it?
