daily/weekly limit?

Can someone briefly explaine to me how dungeons work, Can i just farm dungeons all day for 12 hours straight without any penalty? Does it give me the same rewards? LIke for instant shards. Also can someone explaine rested xpÉ

Abyss Dungeons and Legion Raids can ONLY be done ONCE per week per character.
Also only 6 characters can earn GOLD rewards from the dungeons. The 7th and beyond can still run it but will NOT get any gold rewards for the clear.

Rest bonus is a mechanic that if you have a "BAR" of rest, when you complete that activity, it gives DOUBLE the rewards. A bar is 20 Rest bonus and you gain 10 rest bonus for each activity you DONT do. Example you can run 2 chaos dungeons a day. If you dont run any you will gain 20 rest bonus (1 BAR). The next day if you run both chaos dungeons, you will first get a run that gives double the rewards and your second run will give normal rewards (so its like you ran 3 chaos dungeons).

Yeah, basically you can claim full rewards from chaos dungeons twice per day (aura of resonance is 100/50 each day, 50 used for each entrance). Without aura of resonance, you'll still get a few shards here and there, but its a tiny tiny amount so imo not really worth farming.

Same thing with guardians, you can claim full rewards from guardians twice per day (enter as many times as you want, but you'll only be able to harvest a soul the first two times and the soul has all the rewards). Similarly, if you keep running the guardian after harvesting your two souls for the day, you'll get a couple honing materials here and there, but only a tiny tiny amount. The only reason to grind a guardian many times is maybe to get the galewind rune since that has a chance of dropping each time (though small).

Dragonmaster explained the rest bonus already, but basically it's a mechanic to help people who can't/don't want to log in every day. So if you were busy Monday and Tuesday and didn't do guardians, if you do both runs on Wednesday you'll be able to harvest 2 souls in each run.

Btw, if you're in need of specific materials, try checking una's tasks. There are tasks that will reward you with leapstones/shards/silver/etc. That could be a better use of your time than far ming the chaos dungeon all day.

Of the three (chaos/guardian/una) if you HAD to skip some then if:
Your looking mostly for honing materials, skip guardian raids, they give lower quanities of the honing mats. The biggest reason to do guardian raids is that the leapstones you get from them are UNBOUND and sellable and the prices are not to bad to sell with. Like Ice Turtle right now would give roughly 500g (double if rested) a day which is roughly equal to what you get from running a legion raid a week.

If you dont have friends to run pre-endgame content. you will be waiting like 30min-2hr to get a queue to pop. Sometimes it never pops at all.
