Gear Question

I am curious.

I am wearing *rare* providence gear, that was once ilvl 302 but i had gotten all my gear plus +15 and now my item level with all my *rare* gear is 600 total item level..

I want to get better gear by doing a dungeon or a raid. But they are providing me with EPPIC GEAR that is worse then my rare gear. Isnt EPPIC suppose to be better then RARE?

Im confused. Someone needs to explaine to me how gear works.

Rare, Eppic, Legend and relic and what is actually better then the other.


*Also. i noticed that the HIGHER LEVEL RAID (REQ LIKE 1302) is providing rewards such AS RARE gear THAT HAS NO ITEM LEVEL BUT instead it says

"restricted trading item level"

rare gear? i am wearing that now. Then eppic and back to rare? Most likely this is just a misleading or miss understanding concept for me....

With 600 ilvl you going to tier2 , drop new items in chaos dungeon and make gear transfer in honing NPC

dont focus about gear/stats etc on low tier ,you need go to tier3 fast

With rarity rare > epic > legendary. Agreed you can for now ignore it since you are already 600, that is the end of T1.

Do not hone past 600, or at end of T2, past 1100, that is huge loss of gold to do so.

Your gear not only has rarity like that, but also ilvl. When you acquire higher rarity gear, you can gear transfer your current ilvl to that higher rarity piece. Same applies for higher quality.

Once you do Yorn questline allowing you to play T2 chaos dungeons for T2, try to pick higher quality gear if you get several of the same slot.

I don't know if you ever played World of Warcraft but if you have maybe you remember getting full set of epics just to replace everything with blues at the start of a new expansion.
Tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 is a bit like that in Lost Ark. You just reached tier 2 and have to start at the bottom of T2 with blue items.

As mentioned above, always remember to gear transfer your old stuff onto your new stuff.

Well, to make it short.. There are 4 steps you do in Lost Ark when it comes to getting better gear.

1► Get current gear to +15
(we NEVER go above 15)

2► ALT+Q → Highest allowed Chaos Dungeon. Farm it till get all new gear
(helm, chest, panties, gloves, shoulderpads)

3► Hone transfer current +15 gear into newly acquired gear.
(That we got from Chaos earlier)
It makes them to have some + on them without honing, on the cost of current gear being destroyed.
(Which is fine, since we don't need them anymore, we got our new, better gear from chaos dungeons)

4► Repeat from step 1

You do this till you can go Argos and then legion raids.
In those cases, you do exact same, but not with chaos dungeons, but with Argos and then legion raids.

so now that im ilevel 600 total, I can start doing dungeons that give me t2 rewards correct?

In T1 and T2 tier is primary what matters, because those "tutorial tiers" pass very fast, and the benefits from higher rarity gear is not much.

In T3, you will first use rare gear, then you might grab purple but not really likely, as it still passes so fast, and you are not likely to be playing guardians as they are kinda dead. And in chaos dungeon you don't highly benefit from higher amount of damage.(the difference between rare and purple is, again, small)

Then you are forced to upgrade to legendary, as the rare and purple gear can only hone up to +15, and tier 3 is highest tier. +15 puts you 1370. After legendary comes ancient.

In tier 3 only rare and epic can be looted, rest are crafted yourself with the looted mats from first abyssal dungeons, then legion raids. Legion raids is the end game, and to many players the only game.

If you can now play Yorn chaos dungeons then go right ahead. When you loot the gear, you will do gear transfer with your existing gear, which will make that T2 blue gear +1, giving you ilvl...uh I forgot but little over 800.
