Can't open random chests from gold frog

I just bought 10 of the leapstone chests and another 10 of the rate up material chests from the golden frog and can't open any of them. The opening animation starts but then I only get a pop up that says my inventory is full, when it's clearly not and the sytem chat reads "you can't use this Item". I even tried opening single chests instead of a 10 stack but nothing's different.

Anyone else having this problem?

Well they wanted to sh!t into their own bed again so badly that they decided that instead of owning up to their mistake and be it their loss, they disable those chests and annoy the players instead of doing the right thing, which would have been:

Hey wasn't intended like this, will be fixed with next maintenance, but what you buy this week stays like this.

or

Hey wasn't intended like this, will stay like this till the frog goes away.

From a reddit post I read, it seems like these chests weren't supposed to be roster bound, because they can be claimed per character, which would lead to some alts buying the chests and then funneling the materials into the main.

Woke up and say chest was not able to be used or put in storage anymore.
Just curious? Are LA managements trying to ruin the game? And like tracking and SPYING on players when every new patch happens? Every single patch/event they can never just make it just RIGHT let things be, strightforward stable and joyful, specially on 1st Anniversary where alot of joyful things should happen. Last issue was pheon meme & even patch before that was issues too. Now its about this issus on mats-box(at frog) that players do encouraged to buy save for next upcoming class. Wish they could just let it be roster bound instead of causing another random issues. chest are now *auto useless/restricted*

Leapstone chest was not intended to be roster bound. So they deployed a quick fix to block people from abusing it.
My guess is all the locked chests will get deleted and a new character bound chest will be sent in the mail to any character that purchased the chest.

What I'm worried about is what happens to all the people who got the chests and immediately opened them on 1 character and honed it all away??
Because thats exactly what I did
Going to be funny/sad if I log in one day and find they un honed my weapon. Sounds ridiculous but at this point I don't think it would surprise me lol.

No, but honestly, I think you're either fine and they let it slip or the most they'll do is to remove some of your materials equal to the amount claimed by chests. Negative leapstones incoming.

Yeah, since yesterday, which still took them 2 days after my initial post and probably only happened because a lot of people were asking the same questions on public forums.
