Is Scrapper boring ?

Considering raising a Scrapper (TAI) but since my Demon alt often feels boring i'm kinda afraid Scrapper will be the same since its also (from what i see) a no brain spammer.
(at endgame ofc)

Its really hard to find a good melee character that doesn't rely on damn back attacks

Scrapper is one of the strongest classes in the game currently. i wouldn't say it's boring but i do agree that having most of the classes rely on back attacks is not fun. however if you like martial artist then you could give soulfist a try and it doesn't rely on back attacks with that class. or try gunslinger which isn't a martial artist class but yeah maybe switch up and try other classes you might enjoy them.

In short: YES
Scrapper relies extremely on reactive abilities. Without it your dps is mediocre. Also scales very late (with Full Relic Set).

I don't get this with Glavier, PS, and to a lesser extent Machinist.

How does canceling half of the class make it more enjoyable? Machinist is fun when outside transform however you do garbage damage, its even more fun when you transform.

Control Glavier for example is just boring. Pinnacle isn't much better but at least I'm throwing a spear.

Swift classes are spammy, rather than rebuilding a character into an off-meta spec, wouldn't those 100+ pheons and hundreds of thousands of gold be better for a meta DPS like Swift Summoner, Emperor Arcanist, or EO Soulfist?

I created 7 different classes and made Scrapper Taijutsu my main. For me it's very fun to play with.

I have 4 Scrappers. 1 Shock and 3 Taijutsu. And imho, Tai Scrapper is the FUNNIEST class in the game. Well balanced, and superfun to play.

It's exactly what you said, a non brainer spam. She's strong tho, and you can go less no brainer if you chose shock.
And if you're looking into melee classes that doesn't need to back attack or front attack. Berserker, blue gunlancer, esoteric wardancer/striker and lance master is probably the most easy way to go.

i see you dont enjoy back attacks

if you want a Spammy class that does not need back attack and requires some brains to play then look no further than EO soul Fist -> requires hype management and Buff before using your DPS otherwise you hit like a wet noodle, there is also making sure you cast Hype 2 with awakening to have no downtime.

Reflux Sorcerer is also a good class if you want APM builds with no back attack and easy to play.

Time to Hunt + Full Swift + Dominion set Gunslinger is also a fun class if you want to play a class that spams switching around 12 skills and dancing around the raid boss with 4 mobility skills -> the only downside to this class is that it hurts your fingers and will require some practice at the start if you dont already main Gunslinger there is also the usual FPOV

reaper is super fun however is not a newbie friendly class since you are supre squishy

Nothing is as fun as stabbing the rear of the boss in the middle with a stinger then running all over the place till your persona meter gauge fills to full.

Wardancer is great for Party and looks. The male version (Striker) is slightly better for solo. And both are definitely better than Scrapper, Soulfist, etc...
If you just want to trash everything Berzerker is untouchable. It´s still the strongest Melee
