How much of a p2w is this one?

Actually its a P2P (pay2progress). Of course you can spend real money on this game and get your final build quicker, but its not totally p2w. I've seen powerfull character without spent a dime on it.

They drop from guardian raids, chaos dungeon and legion raids.
I doubt you didn't find anything in your "2600" hours, but lets say you actually didn't, a relic piece with grudge 5, whatever 3 you need and middle quality can easily be found for 5-10k gold

We must not be playing the same game. My main is at 1530 with high quality accessories and 5x3 plus 4 alts at +1490 with 5x3 and high quality as well. So looking at what you typed seems like a made up lie that it will take years to get one character to get to their final 5x3 build. That's a complete lie. But what isn't a lie in your post is that you might never find an accessory that you can use on your character from a drop and that's 100% true. But that's why there is trading, you sell whatever you get that's worth selling and then buy whatever you want. These sales are like jackpot tho, your gold income comes mainly from your dailies selling honing mats and weekly raids.

It's not that you are unlucky, it is true that u might never find an accessory that is good for your current character that you are playing. But you should now and then find an accessory that is usefull for another class and you can sell it this is still rare but it happens and just like out of nowhere you made +50k gold or +100k gold or w/e the accessory was.

Only reason was when you said that it will take years to get 5x3 for one character which is a lie. Unless you meant to get it from drops alone? Then yeah sure it could take years before you could get all accessories you need from drops. If you rely on personal drops yeah you might never be able to get 5x3. But that's not how this game works you sell your accessory drops and make gold and then buy accessories you need from other players for your build.

Getting a character to 5x3 with +70 quality shouldn't cost a lot gold. Of course it depends on the class, spec classes will have higher cost to get to 5x3. This is why you invest into Grudge or Keen Blunt or Adrenaline legendary engraving something that's useful for every character in your roster then the build becomes a lot cheaper. It will never take a year to get a character to 5x3. Most f2p endgame players should by now have at least 3-4 characters with 5x3 engravings if they started from day one.

Some people even fill their roster with the same class which then makes it very cheap to make 5x3 on all of them since you can invest on legendary class engraving and another legendary engraving and it works for all characters and you can gem swap as well between characters. When you have double legendary engraving any +66 rock will work to get 5x3.

These last 3 weeks I've been dry on accessories to sell in market. Only got one that could sell for around 30k-40k in these 3 weeks so meh.

That is right! I agree completely on that but overall my point was that you can't find key items in game. You hunt them on the market. I prefer playing the game and being rewarded than playing market window. That's all. I'm slowly stepping back from the game. I just want one whole year. Every day login, clear what I could completion almost 100% all. Just for science. Slowly losing interest but still enjoying much less than in the beginning but this is obvious.

That's fair point. Understandable. I think the game wasn't made for you to be able to equip your self from your own drops only. But to trade with other players, you sell accessories that other players want and you buy what you want. But yes from personal drops only you might never be able to get a 5x3 setup. I'd say it's probably impossible to be honest. Only back in Argos this was possible because accessories had guaranteed class engraving in them. You could easily back then build a 4x3 without buying accessories and only buy stones.

I played since day one as well as you did and only one of my characters had 1 item drop that I was able to use to start up a 5x3 build (hell it's why I even build 5x3 on that character to begin with) and that's about it, the rest is just from making gold and selling accessories that I don't need and buying accessories i need for all of my characters.

Also when Brelshaza HM and the new GR comes which will bring Ancient accessories, give it a few weeks into that content and relic accessories will start tanking down in price. By then it will be much easier to build 5x3. But yes the best investment I did was buying legendary grudge when it was cheap, it was gonna be useful for all of my characters. Even if you don't buy legendary grudge you could buy another meta engraving that is cheaper like adrenaline or keen blunt and buy accessories that have +5 grudge which are cheaper in general since most end game players have legendary grudge engraving so they seek for one accessory with +3 grudge instead so there's a bigger supply of +5 grudge accessories.

It depends. If you're in it for the exploration and story, no its not. But for raiding, yes. Dont play this for the endgame, just a tip.

When will it stop ? One thing is clear is that after almost a year people still doesnt know if this game is p2w or f2p, and this is the real success.

I mean in Diablo immortal forums its pretty clear, they all figured it out.
In League of Legends forums too.

But here, on LA forums, the debate still continue lmao.
