Machinist Evolutionary, Confused on 5x3 OR 4x3 2 1?

So from two or three folks I got 5x3 as the strongest build for transformation build being Max class evolutionary, adren, grudge, barricade and kbw.

Bought the legendary books while they were cheap but now I'm finding out the best was what I thought originally, which was 4x3 plus 2 adren, plus 1 level class engraving.

So which is it? So confusing....and I just spent all that gold buying class engravings too wtf...

loawa is your friend, see the korean builds and relic sets and make your choice on that

class engraving can be Lv3 or Lv1.

since you bought Class Engraving then is best to run it at Lv3 and if you have another Lvl3 engraving tha saves you from the 7/7 stone hell and can make acc cheaper since you can op for 3/4 or 3/3 for for higher Quality gear.

5x3, then with ancient you wanna go 5x3 +1 with the one being Class engraving

Yeah the better and also cheaper build would be adr3, kbw3, raidc3, grudge3, barricade3 and evo1 for ancient. Evo has the best value as level 1 engraving, if you compare it with the others.

For relic I went 4x3 + 2 + 1 (Barricade 2 and evo 1, because I prefer crit with adr3 instead of barricade 3)

Evo 3 is fine, but there are cheaper alternatives with minimal diffrences in damage.

Btw. Raid Captain provides you with more damage than barricade ;)

At 3x5, RC is better than barricade except maybe in kunga cause of all the slows. The current best build needs a 9/7 rock and is 3x5+1 which is grudge 3, kbw 3, rc 3, barricade 3, adren 3, evo 1.

There's a build comparison here showing 3x5 is better if you go RC instead of barricade though all 3x5 builds are better than 3x4+2+1.

You kinda want adren 3 cause even with lostwind and hallu 4 set clown, you are lacking crit rate.

Until you can go 5x3+1, then lvl 3 class engraving is better. But once you go 5x3+1 (after ancients, or you have a 9/7 rock) then lvl 1 class engraving is better.
