Is REAPER even worth ur time as an alt?

I've seen quite a few 1445 +reapers and they hardly make MVP screen even with 4x3 engravings or slightly better. Is it worth playing or is the gatekeeping gonna be harsh on them soon?

not really, is worth it if you want another type of gameplay, the reaper itself is very fun to play however dont expect to get MVP unless you rocking 5x3 and have great rotation.

Invited a pally to Valtan Hard today. He asked if a friend could join and we said sure.

His 1460, 4x3, Reaper friend ended up doing 3.2% (Deathless).
Its not a bad class, people are just bad at the class atm. Missing a bunch of skill points for not being Lv.60 hurts a lot as well.

Maybe in 2-4 weeks will you see them pump. Having 6 set entropy is massive for their damage which is literally not possible this early in.

thanks for the comments. looks like a bit of an investment as an alt... i dont mind spending 300k gold on a new alt but not like 600 or 700k just to get it on par with other alts that can perform just as well with less than half the gold. Sounds like a hard class to play too with focus on not missing rotations... i am already pushing to play at national level in sports, i dont want to come home and do national level button mashing after a tough training with an aching body.

People are just bad at the class, cause its kinda demanding to play in comparison to others, and people are still getting tripods up too
its similar to arcanist, arcanist is a top dps class, but because its demanding to play most people wont deal good damage on it and be useless

if you are a skilled player then go for it

its early but im having fun, only 1385 running lunar/ambush but got kinda lucky on the leggo sword at 93 quality.
im going cheapo/slow right now tho, didn't buy the pass or sell/reroll stuff to juice it.. long term im pretty sure its an alt im keeping

I do think that Reaper is a very fun alt but as always tastes are different. If you like a resource free highly mobile squishy melee class with limited invisibility then Reaper might be for you. Otherwise probably not.
As to MvP, why do you care about something so trivial?
