Class relic accessories with another good engraving are very expensive as the drop rate of them to come with the right combat stat and engraving is extremely rare.
How I did with my alts was legendary rings 3+3 (with class), equip one class engraving +9. The rest is stone and relic accessories
Relic acc can augment it and make it easier to get. Usually for my alts getting 4x3 builds, I mix some relics with legendary gear for the class ones since class legendaries don't generally cost "that much" to get a 3/3 one.
Def Shop around a bit before bying anything as some engraving combos generally run very cheap. I just build another alt out yesterday to 4x3+1x2 and didn't spend but maybe 10-15k since there were several 5/3 items that were <1000g for even 70+ quality.
For a 4x3, most likely 1 of your 2 engravings will HAVE to be your class so you will need 2 +3s for it. Rings are generally your best best for these as rings quality doesn't matter as much and they run a bit cheaper. You can get legendary rings as the stat difference is minor
For the 2 earrings, find your cheapest 5/3 option and get 2 of the same.
This should get you
15 in Class (with +9 from book)
10 in Engraving 2 (2 +5s)
6 in Engraving 3 (2 +3s)
Your neck should also be able to find the same 5/3 as the earrings (to make it real simple) and shouldn't be expensive either if the earrings were not. This would get you 15/15/9
Then just get a 6/6 stone of Engraving 3 and Engraving 4 and equip the other +9 and theres your 4x3 build that should be extremely cheap. The rings can either be legendary 3/x or relic 3/x rings since if its JUST your class +3 it should be cheap if its paired with a not top engraving. You could get relic class 3/5x with the 5's being of a B Tier engraving and could still be very cheap which will get you easinly a 4x3 + 1x2 build.
This is how I've geared ALL of my alts out to 4x3 with wither a 1x1 or 1x2 kicker for extremely cheap and has the adjustability to transition to a 5x3 with only a few replacements instead of everything in the future if I choose.
If you dont plan on getting legendary books soon, you can benefit from a huge price reduction now by going this way.
I try to cut the stone before buying anything else because getting more than +5 often means you can get another piece at +4 which is often significantly cheaper too (necklace if possible)
Stonecutting will vary wildly in results. Cutting a 5/5/ with low negative is supposed to be easy, but many of my chars had to cut over 6 stones to get one while 2 others have cut 7/7/3 first try without even needing it.
This is what I do for a super cheap budget 4x3 +1.
My alts usually stay like this until I cut a really good stone for them. Then I buy legendary class engraving books for them. Then I start working on all the rest for 5x3.
Stone:
Start with the stone. All you need is a 5/5 stone so you will almost always cut that first try and thats a big deal because stones can quickly become the most expensive item in your build if you aim too high due to pheon costs.
Getting anything more then 5/5 just means you can save gold on accessories. Example: 6/6 stone means you can use +4/+3 accessory and thats a lot cheaper then +5/+3.
Class Engraving:
Class engraving being maxed out from just double +9 books also saves you a ton of money. Relic accessories with class engravings are usually far more expensive then all the rest.
Amulet:
Amulet really only needs to be a +3. This is pretty big because that means you can focus on getting a amulet with 100 quality. If you happen to find one with 100 quality and +5 to something useful, all the better.
Downside to starting with a budget 4x3 means you waste 134 pheons on something that is temporary (Not 5x3).
Spend a little extra on earrings, making sure they are very high quality and +5/+3/-1. It will save you money in the long run because you will use them in your 5x3 later on. All the rest of the items get replaced.
