Then they came out with the same BS and did it monthly anyway, so that was the first lie.
Making it even slower was the 2nd lie.
I'm still amazed some people can defend this trash, SG made a huge mistake picking AG and their great, successful gaming history.
+1
Lost Ark in its current format won't survive a new action combat competitor (not talking p2w diablo immortal, a real arpg) due to the way it's being handled at the moment
It's sad to watch it take this path towards failure
Point out where. They stated "FASTER" then KR which has been true. KR had 5 months+ between class releases and NON was faster then 2mo if I recall the release timeline.
It was the COMMUNITY that assumed once a month, NOT the devs.
Over three months and my personal guild hit 6 today, which means BS Research 3 unlock.
Have fun mega-farming chaos runs for your alts forever because your alts . . . I mean the bots . . . just got cut off.
Yes. Today is a very good day for me, Lost Ark, and the Lost Ark community.
Have a nice day.
Still, we are releasing skins at a faster rate than they were originally in Korea, and we will continue listening to player feedback about the tempo of their release. Similarly, classes will be released faster, and our goal is to catch-up! As we release new content into the game, we want to add new classes that compliment that content. More classes will be available soon, and we’ll share specifics in the upcoming roadmap we’re working on with Smilegate RPG in studio this week.
Imagine arguing semantics, please tell me oh glorious amazon defender, how will we catch up to korea if we slow down class releases to one every two months, based on this schedule we will see artist on march/april and the classes that will be released during this year on KR (Aeromancer and Female Zerker) during late 2023 almost a year after they were released. which means that even during the first quarter of 2024 we will still be almost a year behind KR.
Make up your mind, you want all the content out at once, "WHINE its P2W and we can't keep up, whales only content". Release content a little slower "WHINE, its too slow and we'll never catch up to KR".
Classes in KR took 5+ months to come out, we are getting them in 2. You can't just snap your fingers and we be equal to KR without the balance and complaints of what happened during launch. Its not expected we would even be close to equal to KR until at least middle of next year. What you want Elgacia by the end of the year already.
Classes in KR were being developed, classes on NA are being unlocked and treated as content to drip feed the user base.
The rest of your post is your Gish gallop as all your arguments are baseless, no one here is talking about timeframes or how they should develop their game but betrayal of expectations created by themselves.
It was the Director himself that posted about catching up to Korea. when the game was presented on the west, this expectations growth more as it was mentioned once again during the update, how can you even argue that slowing down class releases does not reflect poorly on them when there was overwhelming feedback that the west did not want old classes to be drip feed to them.
Looking at the current numbers of decline my server will be empty by then and so i have no more reason to play the game.
I am gonna check out Thrones and liberty.
Will be just as p2w but maybe they wont censore / dripfeed us classes, content and outfits.
At the very least I know that i will never play a game published by amazon ever again.
No matter the title.
The sheer incompetence they showed with this and new world is staggering.
Everyone desereves a second chance so considering what i saw on the russian server, i gave AGS the chance after new world, but its clear that all that did was waste my time and money.
Still not sure how they could run this game that has such a high potential into a wall.
Thats like driving in a desert and hitting the only rock in a 100 KM radius.
The biggest issue i see with the class release over a year is... players who want to main a class that's not out, will NOT play for a year until it releases, that's just too long to wait to have fun the way you wanted it to be
If Korean version of Lost Ark can survive just fine with all the classes out atm, then we can too
This sell you 1/2 a game and make you wait a year for the other 1/2 is poor service that most players will give up on
Why do 1300 chaos dungeons with a class you don't want in the hope you what, save up materials for one day to play the game?
People will just quit and -maybe- they will return when their class releases, but once you lose players, there's no guarantee they will return (see New World, short of some new expansion that changes everything most people will never return to it, no matter how much they patch in)
One month is a good pace to keep those people who are vulnerable to it in FOMO mode. Two months gives time to easily for those who only do one character a day make the new ilevel cap and you will lose peopel to boredom. MMO's operate by making people feel like they have fallen behind, and need to keep up with faceless competition to be best on the server.
A class every two months (alongside other content might I add) Is more than reasonable, and If you compare to other games In the genre, It's generous (you could be recieving 2 classes every 6 months or a year, alongside bigger and far less frequent updates). If you started playing the game with the sole expectation of <Insert favorite class here> being released early on or you're waiting for It to be released and now you're upset because that hasn't happened and you might have to wait 2, 4, 6 months or more, that's a you problem. Guess what, your favorite class Isn't everyone else's favorite class, no matter what class they release, someone Is going to be upset and left out. No, the "content" (i.e the classes) already being localized and "ready" doesn't mean they'll just release them all, that's not how this whole thing works, again, look at other games In the genre, If anything, this game Is getting updates and new content at a far quicker pace than any of It's peers.
Or release the game with all the korean classes and then let the raids come out whenever you want in a staggered release fashion so everyone can actually level up and be ready for them?
If i want to play a scouter i shouldnt have to stockpile for up to 12 months in the hope i can push it to current content to be playable when it releases
Why not just give it now so players who want to play the class, can actually play it?
Not everyone will stay around for a year to wait for classes, most will quit. Some will return when it comes out, but most will move to other games
The drip feed thing is really bad for long term retention
^THIS RIGHT HERE.
THIS Is what continues to baffle me, day In and day out. Why are we even comparing our version to Korea's and why are we expecting to catch up to whatever their version Is, in a few months? Could these morons even have survived playing the game when It originally came out In Korea and they had to wait several months for the updates we got in a few weeks or a single month? It truly baffles me, I feel like my IQ gets debuffed by reading this kind of gibberish.
