Any pointers for appealing a ban?
So, i was casually doing the stronghold tutorial, learning what i could do, and after the king had visited had a look at the lab, set a new research off, and the moment i did im slapped with a game ban?

Im barely level 30 and was just enjoying the game so this has me pretty annoyed tbh. I followed through the instructions to appeal it, but it appears i need an amazon account to do so? how will they know it's from my steam account if i create one (as i don't have one atm) if i do create one?

i was looking forward to continuing the story after saving castle luterra, but now im slapped with this :steamsad:

Anyone have any help for this one?

i must be honest and say i did not note that down :steamfacepalm: I didn't have much time to do so though, as by the time i'd realised what the message said the game quit on me back to desktop.

Do you think starting the game up again would tell me the code?

Well, when i tried starting the game, it now comes up with 2 boxes, one on top of the other with server authentication failed (10010) and then auto quits.

Well, when i tried starting the game, it now comes up with 2 boxes, one on top of the other with server authentication failed (10010) and then auto quits.
Restart your computer. Try resetting EAC. If neither work, delete a bunch of files in your Lost Ark and verify to redownload.

Im awaiting some (hopefully good) news on the ban appeal itself, and if successful, i'll verify and make sure it's complete.

You just wait for them to reply to it. Who knows how long that will take. It says around 1 business day, but my boyfriend has almost waited an entire week for his first reply. I know working as a customer service rep can be a thankless job and I'm not entirely upset with them, but holey moley this is ridiculous. So many people that aren't botters and RMTers are getting wrongfully banned and you have whiteknights who want to pretend that is not the case. Then you have to potentially wait who knows how long for your appeal to process. I'm so disappointed in AGS it is not even funny. They really need to fix their garbage bot ban system in a bad sort of way.

As an experienced MMO gamer who has played countless MMOs I don't think I've ever seen this many people get caught in ban waves. Oh! Right! Small indie company. Better give em a break.

Server authentication failed (10010) is not a ban message. Just means your connection is being blocked (bad region, using a vpn, bad dns, etc).
You applying for a ban appeal won't do anything.

oh it was a ban (steam even noted it), but that was the message i got every time i started the game afterwards. The ban message itself was hidden underneath and clicking anywhere auto quit the game :steamfacepalm:

I'm glad you got such a quick reply! It is making me wonder why it taking them so long to process my boyfriend's now though... :steamfacepalm:

There was a post from one of the mods on the official forums regarding a bug that leads to location blocking/bans even when playing fair.
Ponders me, since Steam is the place where most people get the game, that there isn't a sticky at least under announcements for that sake.

If you are legitimately caught by a false ban, hit up live chat and tickets. Be as specific as you can as to what hours you play. Programs running on your PC etc. Any piece of information will better your odds. Be persistent.

How did you can unbanned?

Contacted amazon through the link from steam, spoke calmly in the ticket and asked them to review the ban and that i felt it was completely unjustified given i've never done anything wrong.
In my case it was clearly in error due to how quickly they removed it, but kudos to the support staff really, given that i sent the ticket off gone midnight and it was gone by morning :steamthumbsup:

I just had a similar experience. Made level 30, got the stronghold and was banned shortly after. Submitted a ticket on playlostark.com and was reviewed and the ban lifted in less than six hours.
