Lost Ark vs Black Desert Online

Have over 2 thousand hours on BDO and like 800 on Lost ark. Here are somethings ppl should know between the 2.

Lost Ark
Pros:
- Easy to get into and come back to.
- Teleports, mounts, ease of access to dungeons/raids.
- Quick gathering sessions.
- Nice simple combat systems
- Better gear enhancement system
- Free Inventory/Pet. No weight system.
- Only 1 "subscription" mechanic.
- Alt friendly game. Since there's no weight/inventory mechanics, you can make an alt and spend 0 dollars on it to make it playable.

Cons:
- Tons of bots everywhere.
- Bleeding players and not enough new players replacing them.
- Boring chore like daily mechanics like Chaos Dungeons, Una's task and Raid bosses making this game extrtemely boring.
- Uncontrolled RMT.
- Endgame content is non-existent.
- Not a very social MMO, you can barely see any chat going unless your in a super active guild.
- PVP is the worst in any MMO I every played.

BDO
Pros:
- Tried and tested MMO since 2016.
- Enjoyable Lifeskills and Grinding activities making this game playable for hours almost everyday
- Bots and RMT are non-existent.
- weekly giveaways and discounts on the Cashshop.
- Great PVP fights.
- Very active community/chat, chat is going so much sometimes you have to disable it since ppl are chatting so much.

Cons:
- Terrible at alts. You would have to spend a few hundred dollars to make an alt playable in which you have to buy weight and inventory just so it doesnt suck so much to play it.
- No fast Teleport, making you run around the entire map for grind zones and such.
- Unbalanced classes in PVP.
- PVP requires a high APM and mastery in this game.
- Inventory/Weight/Pet System. You have to buy these in this game.
- 3 "Subscription" mechanics.
- Game AFK mechanics force you to leave your PC running 24/7 for things like Worker's/Crafting/ Farms to keep on working.
- Insane gear enhancement system. 6% chance and if you fail your gear degrades.


All in all, In my opinion they are both bad lol. But if I have to pick, Lost Ark wins just because I don't have to leave the PC running all the time.

I will never understand the people who go for pvp in games that dont focus solely on pvp. Its always terrible. Always. Some may enjoy it, but that doesnt change the fact that it is still terrible.

Developers should stop trying to fuse pve and pvp into one game, it simply doesnt work and we have gathered the proof for years now. No pve/pvp amalgamation game ever came close to focused pvp games.

Black Desert is a bait and switch game at endgame

You play through and have super fun with combat and leveling, then you hit 51? and PVP is now forced on you everywhere in the world and you get slaughtered by the whales

Then you try to upgrade your gear to get better and if it fails (and it will) it BREAKS so you have to RE-START

thats because the few hundred dollars for unlock basic things (storage, inventory for example) u spend for your main are not aviable for you alts.

bdo have no rmt where u buy from bots, because there is no trade aviable for do it.
at all the rmt is already in the game by the publisher

i played lost Ark both for Pve et pvp
to be fair it was long time since on hack n'slash it was rally for the levelling , the story its a bit basic but ther's some "epic" phase , on each zone we get some cool donjon but when i reach en game , getting boried : nothing more to do .. just farming GS to unlock the next Boss and gathering spot .

i like raids but , its only fast farming session , not like as "classic" mmo raids , take items , take gears , take compo , take an overhall strategy and go for 2/3h of an advanture to complete the raids . .. i know Lost Ark its an hack and slash but for end game i was hoping more than do and redo the same task ..even an path of exile having more contents and variety on end game . a game like as diablo immortal , with the worst cash shop offer a new way to discover the game at end game :(...
