Urnil Raid - No one to Party?

I have a quest to form a party for (my first) raid to take down Urnil. but no matter what time of day I try to create a lobby no one joins -> does no one do these Level 1 Raids or even my level folks? Is it because its too hard to too pointless?

No, because there's no connection/rewards gained from old time Cohoots and Whales to actually participate in early contents. Simply put this is how the game was stupidly designed in the 1st place. Use "Create Party" and hope for the best. Though it will take 5 seconds to clear if a player with 1300+ ilvl joins in.

thanks. ive once paced for 45 minutes and nary a person joined. . My guild is also pretty useless - they're like silent monks. does begging in Area chat help?

t1-t2 not many people are there, mostly everyone is at t3 and uses freebies to bypass t2 and below content.

No need to beg, just ask in Stronghold or open sea area chat, usually someone wouldn't mind sparing a few seconds to help you out. But you should bring flares as a courtesy.

I've had luck asking area chat before. But if it's the series of quests with Luna, from what I recall you don't have to join a party to finish the quest. You could always postpone completing that quest line until you could solo it . (I somehow missed it until i was t3). Hope you find a party tho.

so the quest specifically asks to "Go to bulletin board and gather allies to take down Urnuk" - would solo still count as closing the quest despite not having allies?

solo count but game is designed poorly for soloing because the guardians does not scale to x amount of players so soloing it as a new player with no roster lvl, gems, engraving is basically complete waste of time.

best thing to do is to beg for help like people mention

Um, yes it does. Guardians DO scale to the amount of players. It's how I was able to get my Velganos clear.

You can try asking area chat. I usually help out and one shot bosses for people when I have time (which is rare since there’s so much to do lol)

Um, yes it does. Guardians DO scale to the amount of players. It's how I was able to get my Velganos clear.

Jason doesn't play this game, he just monitors forums to get his daily fix of bashing the game.

Sheesh 45 mins, if it was FF14 and I asked for Heavensward boss content people would join within 5-10mins.

Has literally nothing to do with whales, Urnil is the first in 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tiers of guardians, which was never mandatory content to begin with. No one is doing it in groups because it's super easy to outpace. Get your toxic ass attitude out of here.

t1-t2 is old content you won't see anyone there, no veteran starts from t1 when they make a new character, they also rather save their runs for t3 content than waste on t1. Because you can start and skip t1-t2 stuff with your stronghold+tower and the honing buffs they gave to t1 and t2 made it so it's very easy to jump straight into t3 just from doing adv islands. Everyone has 5/6 geared characters by now and everytime a new class comes there's a power pass and express event that literally takes you straight into t3 with a new character.

You can solo it or ask for help from someone in the guild or in party finder or in area chat in a town or open sea.

Everything has something to do with Whales you Naive Cohoot, heck even FF14, GW2, and ESO has Whales but they get something in return when they help new sprouts with old 5-6 year old contents. This way theres constant relationship with age olds and new sprouts alike.

i think ur definition of a whale is a different from others

someone who pays a monthly fee or skips story for 50 euro or buys some skins even for a few hundred euros isnt a whale.. otherwise i would have been a whale too

and yes..people not doing the first guardian raid which rewards u like 30 gold at this point has something to do with whales... sure... lmao

a system where you help new players and in return you get way way more exp to get to level 60 faster would be nice though
i dont like downscaling at all.. and i know its done in ff14 and gw2 since i played those
but for enough exp reward i would take it..like 10 million exp per day for 10 minutes of my time or sth
