LostMarket has an Crafting Calculator wich alredy shows you the netgain from crafting certain items on stronghold.

So How do I sell for Gold when I have ZERO Gold?
Looks like the market is asking me to deposit Gold in order to get Gold. But how can I do that when I dont have 1 gold to my credit?

Looks like people forgot about that fact. But like I said before, if you have NO gold, the best places to get it are Una Task Tokens, Abyssal Dungeons, and Gold Adventure Islands (these come up every so often, not everyday. Check your compass to check what rewards are available for each island.)
thanks...but a bit lost here. This is an incredibly complex game - I suppose till I start some of these - its all haze!
- Una Task Tokens : What are they? How do I get them?
- Abyssal Dungeons : Where are they? Are they soloable?
- Gold Adventure Islands : Where do I look out for these? Im still in East Luterra -> Not sure if this matters.

Are you at North Vern and at level 50? If not they are not yet available. As for requiring gold to sell items in the marketplace, any items sold for 1 gold does not need any gold as a deposit. It may take a bit to collect a decent amount of gold selling at 1 gold but it will give enough for a deposit when you want to sell items for a higher price. It is a slow start but if you are a new player, it may be your only option.

I remember when I was looking around for how to earn gold while being below level 50 and so I was searching for a video on earning gold for newbs. I found a few on YT titled "Beginners guide for earning gold" and they all started with, go do dungeons, islands, raids, Una's tasks, and I was like "huh"? How is this available for newbs that are below level 50? Most of these YTubers would answer..."well stop being a newb!" thats how you make gold as a newb. Was not too helpful for me. :(

So it is true, one way to earn gold if you are below 50 and before North Vern is to just drop everything and bee line to N Vern asap. This will open up many things that can earn gold.

For me, I want to explore the world and sail around and do every side quest, earn rapports, find Makoko seeds, farm items and build the stronghold and such and I am in no hurry to get to N Vern. So the ways I earn gold are different from others. But since I don't want to have to play a game in a method that I find not enjoyable for me, I found alternative methods for earning gold pre level 50. It may not be the way you want to do it and going to N. Vern and reaching lvl 50 asap may be your best method if you want to earn a lot of gold.

Una Task Tokens : You get these from getting a certain amount of points (70 max) by doing Una Dailies and Weeklies (each daily gives 2 points, which you can only get credit for 9 times total per day with your roster, and weeklies give 12, I think). Then you trade those tokens in for gold items that you use that drop gold.

Abyssal Dungeons : Each Tier has 2 of these (which contain 2 to 3 stages in the same type), except for T3, which only has 1. You can start these by going to the Abyssal Dungeon statue in each town, or by using the Integrated Dungeon feature. They unfortunately can't be soloed (won't even let you try). Each Abyssal Dungeon has a limit of one clear per stage, per week, per character. Lower Tier Abyssal Dungeons stop giving gold rewards after you surpass a certain item level on that character.

Gold Adventure Islands : You can check if there is a Gold Adventure Island using the Compass widget on the hotbar below your minimap on the right (should be the 2nd or 3rd one from the left, I beleive). If there is one, make sure you sail to the island before it's up (there's a timer on the compass page for the islands that tell you when the next one spawns, and theres a button you can push that shows you where said island is on the map) so you don't miss it and do it's event to get credit for the rewards (each island is different, some require fighting, others have you doing other things. Some of the events require you to have specific things to complete certain events, but this shouldn't stop you from getting credit for the rewards, usually.)

However, all these things require you to be level 50, and most require at least T1 basic gear. If you're still in Luterra you have a long way to go. Just keep doing the story and gear up when you get to it. Gold is not required for any kind of needed progression until T3, when you need it to pay for upgrade attempts among other things. So yeah, don't worry about gold too much now. If the stronghold requires it for some reason, just put that off until you have the gold needed. Stronghold is not required for progression, though some of the things you can craft in it are helpful late game.

Hopefully this is enough information for you.

Una Tasks. Doing three weekly tasks will give you enough points for gold.

Please NOTE, low level players do NOT get enough una tokens. Una tokens SCALE with your gear level. A 302 only gets like 10 tokens at the first levels while a 1460 gets nearly 300. This is about low level characters (even ones NOT level 50 yet) which DO NOT HAVE access to una's.

Thanks - very detailed and highly useful!! I liked the tip someone here made of doing < 1 gold of sales. This game is so much fun though!!!
I suggest just asking in chat if someone could gift you 20g or more to get started - for endgame players that's little, if there's no one in Luterra try checking maxroll to see the places of wandering merchants and when they spawn, ask any of the players who come there, since high-level chars come to buy stuff from them all the time. And then use the money to get started selling trade skills stuff on the auction house, right now flowers and mushrooms sell for the most, which you can get from Bilbrin Forest. Since Vern (where you unlock Una's and Abyssal raids) is three continents away, so that's at least 30+ hours to get there, if you don't skip the story - on replays it takes significantly shorter time thanks to roster bonuses, people say about 4h for one continent, which seems realistic, esp. if you mash G and skip the text.

Right now mushrooms and flowers sell for 100-120g per stack on EUC, so if you get a donation to get started, you can make a lot of gold selling that. I think it's because a new class and a new raid is out, so the prices might drop eventually in a few weeks, so I suggest selling a few stacks now if you have any, and that should keep you covered for any stronghold costs.
Mushrooms take high level trade skill to gather. Better to play the story. You eventually get gold from the story quests and you unlock a lot more on the way too. The stronghold quests are going to get stuck again anyway on something else (can't remember).
yeah its my stronghold quests that are completely stuck. Kind of silly game mechanic to give quests you cannot do till much much later on.
If you want to make gold doing anything you need to move to any other region besides NA.
