Are strongholds really that important

Can you beat the game and then do endgame content without using your stronghold that much because I don't want to waste hundreds of dollars on crystals

But you don't need to spend crystals to work on your stronghold? All things in the stronghold don't require blue or royal crystals at all.

However, the main thing you use for endgame in your stronghold is making fusion materials for T3.

Being able to just send people out to run missions and get loot / mats constantly is a bonus. Plus leveling your toons' combat level while still playing them is another huge boon.

Who told you that you need to spend real money on crystals to level up stronghold? wtf..it just takes some managing every few hours or like 2 times per day and some months of patience to max it out
but everything in this game needs patience. if you want to rush the normal progression then you are also gonna pay thousands of dollars

everything there is literally for shenergy/lifeenergy/gold/materials except wardrobe for rappot npcs, which cost blue crystals but thats just gold aswell

Players can whale an SH to 70 but there's no need if you're not in a hurry.

Definitely do not need SH70 to unlock honing bonuses but you do need 1460 to research the 1415 bonus.

leveling SH is ultimately passive...the only active part it needs from you is initiating the research and sending daily sailing missions.
Anyone with low SH is either new or cannot be bothered to visit their stronghold for less than 1 minute a log in.
HIgh ilevel characters with low SH and lowish roster raises red flags for party leaders and it's a gamble for them to add you. Usually you lose that gamble 8/10 times.

you can produce potions/oreha/timestop/bomb with your SH, complete the adventure tome to doube the great success chance, buy them npc an outfit.

but great success chance is bs to me because after getting a whole week great success chance after recruiting neria and payla back in july, i never get great success anymore till today.

Once you start the game as a newbie and introduced you to the Stronghold. Start f***ing using its upgrades immediately. Itll help you a great deal once your reach Tier3. Do it like dailies do not flipping miss it

SH does not require ANY crystals to get to max level of 70. SH only requires gold which is entirely earnable in game.

Stronghold is important to make fusion materials and extra honing chances for alts below 1415. They don't use blue or yellow crystals, but mostly golds and trade skills materials that you can get in-game.

Where did you get the idea you have to use a single BC in Stronghold? It's super easy to power lvl stronghold as well with crafting 2 particular items. It's a decoration item that costs silver and some very easy to get/cheap mats. Or you know just lvl it passively by doing dispatch missions which takes a few seconds.

Probably the structure and outfit section in the Manor tab adding all sorts of global bonus effects to your SH. Shop being full of structures for gems and outfits also require gems.

I can see a new player seeing this stuff for the first time and jumping to the conclusion that upgrading and improving stronghold is just going to cost a lot of crystals.

But I got good news. None of it is required and most of it does next to nothing.
But you do want to upgrade your stronghold (with gold).

Never mind end-game, I can't even finish the tutorial quest to craft and place a structure because all structures cost gold coins to craft, of which I have 0 and it seems I have to trade premium currency to get them.

You earn gold from specific quests and most of it at end game and for LEVELING 10 to 50, the SH is not required. And there are structures that ONLY cost silver, not gold.
