Too late to jump in?
I'm usually not that much into MMORPGs, but I like Diablo style games. One thing I disliked about MMO's are time limited or event limited things which you won't get any more, so I never bothered due to lack of time in general. What's it with this one?

You can easily play F2P without doing any of the limited time events. Don't let that stop you from playing.

Keep in mind things like Ghost Ship, World Boss, Chaos Gate, and certain islands (including Adventure Islands) are on a timer on the days they spawn. They spawn at multiple times on multiple days, so don't feel bad if you can't make it to one. These contents aren't required to play the game though, they're just another source of Materials and Engraving Books. And sometimes Gold, if you catch the adventure island day that they spawn (check your timer notifications or the Compass on your hotbar near the minimap for any of these contents).

I just started like a bit under a month ago or something. There's basically nobody leveling up with me other than bots, but this being a korean mmo, the difficulty is non-existant until end-game anyway. I'm pushing through mostly to see what the endgame is really like.

I do wish korean mmos wouldn't do that lol.

That said when you get to the point where you have to hone y our gear to 600 to reach the next item level tier or whatever. There are like 30 'guides' online that tell you that you get the mats from chaos dungeons, pirate coins, guardian raids, etc. Ignore all that stuff. Stupid ass guides made me take like 2 weeks longer than I needed to. Just get pirate coins from freedom isle and blackfang isle, spend maharenka leaves or whatever they are called to get the bloodclaw coins for more pirate coins, buy the song of resonance from the vendor in peita, goto lullaby isle and do the quest there, play the song 3 times in the secret area (kind of a pain but worth it). Then goto dreamgull isle, and boom, just doing that will get you like a month's worth of chaos dungeon mats. There are other islands with ridiculously more honing mats than most islands too, you can google them, some include serenity isle and panda isle.

Just be aware that the islands aren't even close to being equal in value, some are leaps and bounds more worthwhile than the others.

none is lvling up because once you reach vern+ with one char, then you can knowledge transfer all other chars (skipping areas what previous char has made).

dont be fooled. Lost Ark claims to be an MMO, and an ARPG....but it doesnt really do a good job at either one. If you like killing mobs for loot and looking for that perfectly rolled piece of gear, this is not that game...there is no theory-crafting in this game, like in your typical ARPG like Diablo/PoE/Grim Dawn, etc. Everybody for the most part will be wearing the same boring gear, with the same stats, and same abilities. You will craft 1 set of gear, then do repetitive, timed-gated chores once a day on every character to gather "upgrade" materials, and funnel those materials to your main character. You will spend those materials for a "chance" to upgrade your armor (which is just raw stats). When you get into late game you will have under a 10% chance to upgrade that gear. so you may save up materials for a week, and fail every upgrade, and make no character progression at all. everything you do in this game is time limited and time gated.....this game could have been pretty decent, but unfortunately its just another garbage Korean mobile-like game. but its free to check out for yourself!

With constant events year round, anyone can "catch up" almost immediately. With passes, express passes, seasonal events, special events -the catch-up mechanics will always be new player friendly

Currently in game there are some catch up systems togheter with power passes so it will allow you to get to end game quicker and play the current content sooner.

There is a lot of smaller daily events (island, world bosses, chaos gates) which is optional content if you have time for it, some more worth than others, some give special rewards like rng collectibles so you may want to do it just for them.

Your character also has some daily and weekly limits to how much they can play, or rather, how much they can play and get rewards for it, there is also rest bonus so if you don't have time or want your time to be more efficient you can just use that (you play 1/3 of the time and still keep 2/3 of original rewards).

Many people play many characters because of those daily limits, but I find the most important thing is to play at your own pace that you enjoy. If you have a lot of time and enjoy playing many characters, great, you can do that, but if you don't have too much time, don't force yourself and enjoy the game, just play what you find comfortable and fun for you. A bunch of my friends quit because they were trying too hard and eventually got bored, even though they enjoyed raids and combat in this game.

With all that said, I would also recommend you use site like maxroll to make and adjust your builds, in this game when looking for group content many people look at your build and they expect good stats and engravings (which are things that increase damage or enhance your character's specific traits).

You can rush to T3 really fast if you start this month

Thanks for all the feedback, appreciate it. :steamhappy:

If you don't mind spending ~42usd (due to current discount, otherwise it's 55usd) you can skip right to T3 1302 and ignore 95-99% of the bots and slowness of T1 and T2
