The issue behind whale stigma

So ive seen an apparent issue that whales are being attacked for no reason in area chat.

Now it's understandable if said whale was flexing,, being egotistical toxic etc.. but they're (including me) are being attacked for nothing but existing.

The thought process being whales being "noobs" is completely stupid in my opinion, just because someone likes spending money on their hobby (the game) does it make them a bad player? does it make them a noob from wanting to skip the boring painful grind that is LA in its current state? I personally solo'd Velganos on ilvl without being overgeared (engraving/gem wise) which is the hardest thing to do in eu/na content right now, but im still being raged at for being a noob? Because i like to spend money..? It's so flawed and fueled by hatred envy and jealously.

You spend money to skip something i dont wanna do, ♥♥♥♥ you! I know some people who havent experienced this may not thing its an issue, but i literally type in area chat and get harassed for my build (?) spending money (?) being a noob (?) being toxic if i say anything back remotely in the same sense they do, e.g: ur build sucks - then i say atleast its not as bad as yours! and them in the toxic one? What is with this? Why are people so envious? It's so cringe the fact they flame the people who are funding their f2p experience, don't get me wrong we're all equal players, but we know where most of the profit comes from.

Do any other spenders get ♥♥♥♥ like this in area chat? I like to have chat open and just be social for 30mins you know like a MMO should be, but its impossible without being raged at for being a whale and ganked by 5+ people.

This whole topic is not good for discussion, because many people see only two groups in the game, either whales or F2P. If you spent money, you are automatically a whale. For some reason though, they dont seem to understand that "Free" doesnt exist and someone has to pay for the game to live.

Its an interesting mentality if you think about it, because the same people who complain about people getting welfare since its paid from their taxes are also the people who praise themself for being F2P, even though they are playing on the backs of the people who spend money into the game, so literally doing the same thing they complain about in another topic.

People have to spend money for the game to exist so i have a simple mentaility to offer. See all F2P games as a full-price game. Ask yourself, what can the game give you for 60 bucks. Is it enough to let you enjoy the game for hundreds of hours? Then spend the money. The game obviously deserved it. But thats it. If you go further than that, you are going to become a whale and that is easy to achieve, because its easier to spend a little money now and then over years than spending a bunch of money once in a year.

not all f2p players are, but i’ve seen an overwhelming amount and experienced it first hand, but i can’t grasp the logic behind it :)
