Support just make it a little more forgiving.
Dunno why you are so aggresive though, although I agree that ppl like this are really iritating.
Healing is worthless unless your team doesnt get hit in the next three minutes so you can heal like 1/4 of their healthbar. Shielding can be better if used at the right moments to deny some damage, but the damage output of specific attacks and the reactin of your team to those attacks make shields rather negligible as well.
Purifying your team from debuffs and buffing your teams strength/debuffing the enemy are the most important abilites a support in Lost Ark has to do. Not saving your ass.
As a bard that generally pugs things yeah i agree, specially zerkers, literally need the cheapest pot and still dont bring any, stand in everything, 10 seconds into the fight "can you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heal!?!?!"
But then ive been in a few parties where me and one DPS have done the boss while everyone is dead because they could dodge, and i healed them when they messed up or shielded them through other things.
LA requires knowing other classes, not just your own, and if all you do is ego rush the back end of the boss without knowing where the bard is or how much help the other two need you willl likely end up dead, I mean, ill leave you to die lol
-> Shield
-> Heals
-> Debuff
The longer the fight goes the more support are demanded since HP potions have a limit. So it is up for dps to avoid major hits while limiting their potion use or timing them.
Supports just need to be aware of timings: I set an example like Oreha the Moguro at X10 Bard/Paladin shield and even Gunlancer (Nelia Blessing + Awakening) is big game changer how the fight goes.
I do notice though when i don't play my Bard or Gunlancer sometimes I see players dont bother dodging or timestopping the roar/spin attack. Maybe they got used to a support shield or maybe they forget.
Majority of DPS are just way too greedy with their skill rotation. I sometimes do that too with my Gunslinger and it ends up costing me a pot or 2.... but yeah too greedy gets players killed here more often. They need to start thinking of this game like Dark Souls especially at high iLvL (or T2)
I agree with you, though for me the problem is that some ppl don't even try to dodge... and even better - they don't bring any health potions (or refuse to use them).
I understand that some ppl might be worse in this game - that is okay.
I also understand that sometimes it's just randomness and you can't dodge the attack - that's also okay.
"It is better to pharm materials and upgrades than to pug content unless one's time on this earth is infinite."
I have better things to do than waste my time on mmo pug groups but good luck. ^ ^
