Your mind isn't going to make changes happen.
Careful there. Some people will accuse you of sheming them and report you because you cant decipher their attempts at communication.
A class that is this mechanically intensive and hard to master should be far more rewarding than it currently is.
And on that note let's not forget our DeadEye brothers which have it even worse.
That said this thread was very poorly made regardless.
I’m currently 1422 with BiS engravings, level 7/6/5 gems, Lostwind Cliff crit set, and whatever else you care about for “optimal” damage.
Truthfully I don’t want a buff. I don’t want FoTM Gunslingers again.
Also Gunslingers can apply crit debuff - Zerkers can't do it (edit of course I'm not downplaying Red Dust but since Gunslingers most of the time build for crit the debuff is huge solo play).
I do get jelly at times when i see top MVP Zerkers, Sorcs and sometimes Blades but oh well.
Mastery of movement abilities allows that. Again notice the word mastery and don't forget all the gun swapping and cooldown tracking minigame we got going permanently. Zerker can facetank it and sorc will buzzoff from the danger zone after having dropped their abilities during igniter window. DBs are the ones I have respect for since they are super squishy and their rotation is very intensive in order to pull surge successfully and consistently, they require about the same game knowledge and mechanical skills as slinger in order to perform well.
The thing about crit debuff is that everyone else in the party/raid benefits from it so if you buff yourself you are also buffing everyone else and particularly any big hitter class even more so since they benefit a heck of a lot more than you do even with Keen Blunt. (lots of lower damage hits critting will not pull ahead of a huge single hitting crit and unfortunatelly the only huge hitting ability we got is Perfect Shot followed by Focused Shot's last shot and maybe Target Down's last on a good day)
Solo play is whatever, you aren't soloing Valtan anytime soon and everything outside raids is moot.
I play both but yes you are right gunslingers require better proficiency than berserkers where you can turn off your brain and play like a bot. In fact probably my gunslinger costs me a lot of consumables than my berserker alt. Sometimes there are things hard to avoid even with 2 movement skill sets.
Berserkers and Sorc so easy they are the most spammable classes by botters. The meme is actually true.
