Bypass VPN block?

hey so idk where else to really ask this, but i basically have to use a vpn to prevent crashes.. does anyone know if theres a workaround? if i dont play without a vpn, i crash at the end of raids, abyss dungeons, other stuff that has cutscenes... its basically unplayable/really annoying for me to play right now because of this vpn block..

i was getting intermediately bumped from server and was almost unplayable before they decided to block VPN's. In my opinion they're using the excuse to get rid of bots as a scapegoat from their already existing issues. This will get rid of more legitimate players than it will bots and they know it. It is no secret that there is already huge server issues resulting in players getting bumped all the time. Bots play a big part in the server issues and to get rid of them they decided to ban vpn's which most bots don't use or can get around and will only make the game less accessible and unplayable for people whom have played through the already existing issues and ultimately will be looking for a mass refund exodus. Easily proven to be negligent/incompetent.

Im not here to judge but you don't use the VPN to stop crashing, you use the VPN to bypass that Netherlands isn't a supported Region bcs they banned those kind of Games ;)

2topic: Yes it is possible but i don't think that anybody will tell you since using a VPN is against the ToS of Steam too and they can easily get reported. Maybe some IT Forums are the right place to ask those things.

ToS is a standard they can apply but don't, it's not a law by consent although they would like you to think it is.

Trust me, friends of mine who played from netherlands played without a vpn just fine, i just have to use it because otherwise i crash during cutscenes

sure dont believe me, thats on you, but i also dont fully know why this fixes it. but my guess is that the connection from vpn to server is just a lot better then

Technically, you can't detect VPN protocol itself on their side and they don't use client side check because there was no game client update before the block. I'm pretty sure that they just use some known VPN IPs database (like MaxMind, for example) to decide if you use one. So, using private VPN or better setup your own should be enough (and someone already reported on the game forum that his own VPN in Amazon Cloud still works). But it will cost you some money. Moreover, your VPN/shadowsoks may be blocked any time if botters start using that strategy as well and Amazon add more strict rules (like ban all hosting service IPs too). Are you sure you want this game that badly and invest your time+money with risk to be blocked again any time?

You can bypass vpn block by using shadowsocks proxy. Im not sure if you can buy a sub to those like to VPN servers, but you can always rent a server in a cloud for like 10 bucks per month and setup your personal proxy/vpn there. This tech allows people bypass chinese firewall btw, shadowsocks unlike vpn doesnt use vpn protocols, it masks as regular https traffic, amazon wont be able to tell you from a regular user.
