As a f2p player...i need some tips
how do yall grind for gold in game?
im trying to hone the tier 2 armor levels and its been sucking my gold dry :/
i only have 46 gold, quite literally the rng for honing is beyond buns.
just could use a few tips that wont involve me busting out my card lmao...:crying_yeti:
also please dont be toxic, im just trying to play and enjoy the game like anyone else. :happy_yeti:

EDIT: im NOT tier 3 at all. if youre listing tier 3 options, its completely different for tier 2, and the gold drops are significantly worse at tier 2.
so unfortunately with honing success rates being absolute dog - i will keep losing what little gold i have left, which is around..6 maybe 7 honings give or take until im out lol.
thats why i specifically was asking in terms of being AT TIER 2.

i appreciate all the responses tho, and gained some more insight on what more i can do in game in terms of trying to gain more gold for where im currently at.
wish we werent cucked so hard with the way the state of honing is, and i literally know it only gets worse once in tier 3. its really all a-s-s tbh.

Do all the available Abyss each week. So your current ones and the ones before. I think you get gold from T1 Abyss too up to some point (the game will tell you if you are unelligible for gold when you try to start it).

Una Tasks each week obviously.

Other than that you can't really do much. Try to sell some gathering materials maybe. Or try to focus on Masterpieces for some gold boosts from rewards - but they are mostly rng or locked behind other stuff.

You can also chekc if some adventure tome items still have higher price and try to farm them for sell but this is boring.

Amazon basically nerfed the ♥♥♥♥ out of T1 and T2 because of bots with no regards to normal players.

never waste your gold on buying materials
sell all tradable leapstones
do shadow tower

It's going to be tough, specially since they're doing such poor effort to do anything about the bots, to the extent its affecting log in times (really bad for those that can only play a short time per day), market prices, and now they're hurting player experience as they're now entering chaos gates (caught on video on Shroud's steam).

Once your crystalline aura expires, it's going to be tough on you, specially with how much the crystals cost now and how little value your items and materials can fetch for.

Just prioritize anything that pops up on the compass, like field bosses, chaos gates, and the events. but yeah... good luck.

Well they are doing something aboiut the bots. They keep removing gold form T1 and T2 which is affecting players like op.

I have been doing f2p since the start. The only money i put into this game was so that I could unlock "trusted" status on steam to be able to trade my alts stuff so I put $10 on to get the aura... other than that $0 spent. With that said, I make most of my gold by selling gear and the ability stones. If they're blue quality or higher and have good rolls for stats/engravings then I'll sell them on the AH. I don't sell any of my leftover honing or crafting mats as those all go to my alts. Although I'm sure I'm not as much of an altoholic as most players probably are so I'm sure that also helps when it comes to my gold spending lol. Also doing the field bosses and Choas gates as well as Abyss dungeons like others have said. I have yet to do a whole lot in rapport farming but I hear that also gives quite a nice chunk of gold too. I'm t3 on my main with about 10k gold which so far has been enough to do what I need. I've had up to 15k but dropped quite a bit when I started t3 honing (or should I say failing)?

how ppl have gold problems in T2? go farm adventurer foliant stuff in Yorn (Galaturs Biography alone in 700-800 gold per peace) or Feiton for 2-3 hours and you will have more than enough gold to hit T3 and above

I sit around 9k gold just doing Una tasks nowadays to replenish what I spend on T3 honing. I sometime do around 1-3 weekly raids too, but matchmaking is so bad that I rarely can be bothered to do it. I think I got some gold doing island quests too.

I never get any good gear to sell on Auction house, and its a waste of time trying to sell books nobody wants.

Islands can be good too, specifically Forpe I think which brings in around 500g usually. Check adventure islands and look for gold rewards. Drumbeat is another source iirc

You were 1352 on 30 of March. THe probleem isn't that getting thorugh T2 was hard just after release. It is hard now. Since you and me were doing T2, they removed a lot of gold from there, probably nerfed gold portals in Chaos too, prices on AH for T2 dropped by 10x-20x depending on the resource. I had no problems with gold in T2.

It doesn't mean everything is fine now, the economy changed drastically and Amazon instead of fixing it, breaks it for new players even more. The gold you need for honing and crafts stayed the same while rewards got lower and market for T2 is almost worthless.

Gold reward scales to your tier I believe. So T2 player won't get 600g from there but I can't remember how much was it in T2.

do chaos gates and sell the shards by running the map in a group, easy money.

Easiest way is Una Task, gf never does abyss and earns decent gold from playing this game like animal farm and doing life skills. On the other hand you can get good and do abyss + Una/ islands

Sell Epic+ ability stones, accessories (only when it's worth it for those two, check the market to be sure, can take a little time), gems lvl 4/5, do the daily island (just need to be available when one with gold reward spawn), Chaos gates, Una tasks, and craft potions (or anything that you see worth it on the market) in your stronghold. Or farm Chaos Dungeons until you got a purple/gold portal, which can take a long time).

Sea missions and Masterpiece can also be an option.

you shouldn't be spending gold at all under tier 3 as honing in tier 3 will require gold
you need alts to farm abyssals and stones to feed your main. That is how this game is played. You farm gold from

- Selling books and mats high end, Honor leapstones
Farm abyssals
-Adventure island that gives gold
- Una daily quests to buy the chest and pray you get an awesome 10k bar from the chest if you are lucky, always buy the biggest chest
-Rotate alts to farm abyssals you need 6 alts total
- Collect all the masterpieces
- Do the guardian hunt chain quest for a good amount of gold
- Get a sea map from the sailing minigames from a gate and get gold
- Run into a gold portal in chaos dungeon

These are the way i've gotten gold and all in t3 where its needed when honing gear.

46 gold is literally not even a water droplet to what you need when honing in 1370+

My biggest gold source is Una coins. I got 2500 gold out of 5 medium chest this week. That is my biggest haul yet but it is consistently over 1000. If your not running your own guild with only your alts in it, then you are missing out on a good source of gold. Set your weekly guild task and have every alt do them a couple times.

Also I have no interest in end game dungeons so I'm not wasting gold on honing past 1340-1345. Honing is just a gold sink. There are much better thinks to do with youe gold, like research, and crafting consumables in your stronghold, doing green token dispatch mission to trade for sage and make powder of sage to sell to all the tripod upgrader's 180-200 gold for each one. Great return on investment.

Look for the rapport npc who give gold, there our several in Punika that give a nice stack of gold at amicable or friendly.
