crew abilities?

Your ship crew has a box to the right of the portrait, I assume this is for abilities.

So far I have seen a single sailor with an ability, a relic ghost pirate only usable for the ghost ship, with a ghost fighting ability. Which seems a bit useless unless, would be more useful before you get that ship. Is this the only ability crew can have, is it really that rare and can only ghost ship crew have it?

There is a bunch of sailors with abilities but they can only be used in specific ships. I think there was crew for the ghost ship and the blackfang one. Out of those 2 you can use whatever crew fits the most for your boat.

One of the guys for Elbern's Wound gives huge buff for Ghost Ship fight (like 60% damage and 40% damage resist or smth).
Blackfang for Astray speeds up boost regeneration.

Ok thanks, and another question re ships: some are much bigger than others, and some have a blue glow. Are these some kind of buff effects?

Blue glow is probably from the skin you can buy in the shop. And yes, some ships are bigger than others.

But why are they bigger? Seen Estoques that looked at least 50% bigger for some reason.

I'm not sure if ship levels increase their size, but ship appeareance changes as you lvl it up to 10. So maybe it increases its size to.
