Do not give Smilegate your money

The dev behind 'Lost Ark' Smilegate is no good, why might this not be obvious? Smilegate CMs are really good at their job, but the higher ups couldn't care less. All the suits want is your money, and once they got it cya later. They have no integrity or care for you as a player, and aren't interested in building an ecosystem of fans. The suits at smilegate couldn't care less how many hours you put into this game. If you run into any kind of complexity that a CM can't solve don't expect a solution.

I've also heard oversea players have found out that Smilegate ignores players. And that's what Koreans knew even before new releases. Korean gamers already faced Smilegate before with 'Soul Walker' we stopped playing, so we know that Smilegate treat players poorly, no exceptions.

It really goes same with the 'Lost Ark'. The game was booming at start but it's going down. And it's because of the same reason. Smilegate won't help or listen. Smilegate company is also known as BAD company in Korea. The CEO treated their employee bad and we also have whistle-blower articles about it in our national news.

Smilegate already earned enough money. The CEO became one of the wealthiest guys in Korea. So he has no reason to care.

So Just play for fun. Those games of Smilegate normally not worth investing into. And I think most of Korean players are moving onto other RPGs like 'Last Origin'. I hope you guys have fun with games you plays. But beware, smilegate is not your friend.

I agree with you, and this is particularly bad in asian companies, but despite it being a common thing, it shouldn't be diregarded completely, though we can't really do much.
If someone feels better by not spending then I see no problem, but it's similar to the vegetarians, that hates that animals suffers so we can eat meat. I completely understand why some people would stop eating meat... but in the grand scheme of things - it won't change much... and I don't really see why these people have to push thei agenda onto other people.
