What? 24 hours to delete a character?

This isn't in the RU/KR version from what I'm seeing.

This. Found out the hard way. If you play the character to level 11+ it takes 24 hours to delete, 60 days after confirmed deletion(Which you have to re-confirm after the 24 hours) before the name becomes available.

It's so dumb. Level 10 characters you can delete immediately and the name is available basically immediately too.

yes, in case you "lose" your account or get "hacked". i think i would cry if i logged into my deleted instantenously character after a "hack".

i think better to aproach this is: i should ve left a slot open for the new class. but no, everything they do, it's to persuade, like everything is aimed only at you. you cannot think for yourself.

You do know that in order to get my account hacked people would need to get into my steam account? There's a thing called two-factor authentication and needing even more codes if logging in from somewhere else? Forget that I'm just now trying to think of why someone would intentionally want to hack my steam account to specifically load up Lost Ark to delete my characters.

Common sense is certainly starting to be rare. I should of known before-hand there's a random 24 hour penalty to delete a character in order to try out another, my bad.

and yes, common sense is not posting any acusation and think the world is aiming at particular you.
i left 1 slot open for the new release. next time i will delete a character 48h before release, knowing i ll miss some mats, but i won't make a fuss about it. i prefer knowing anyone who could hack my 2 auth steam acc could delete instantly my chars.

Why would anyone hack into your account to delete characters. If they have gone to the trouble of getting into your account its to steal and sell all your stuff. Then they wouldn't touch your characters because how the ♥♥♥♥ would you grind more mats for them to steal if they deleted all your toons.
Plus Smilegate would have records on top of records on top of records that they could restore your characters from anyway. Which is what they would almost certainly do since it's what happens in every other mmo in the same situation.

tradable stuff? not so much cause there is a log, anything tracked to it it's blocked.
eg. you sell his items and send trade/send/do anything with it, it's already targeted.
but out of pure envy, they'd delete it. having the log/or not, maybe it's a multi complicated thing and needed aproval by a lot of ppl.

-yes,and here comes common sense - a reason to not "delete it by mistake" and abuse the system. you guys cling for anything, imagine the tickets claiming "mistake deleted character with tons of items" - why not give it 24h to rethink? i'd say with guys like you, 24h is too little.

You know people can bypass 2fa right? All they need is your token. Which as I found out in the past isn't as hard as people think. 2fa is a good safety measure but just like condoms it could have a hole in it that you won't see.

bruh nobody is gonna seek out my steam account details, email details, bypass everything with their leet hacking skills to log in to my lost ark account just to delete my characters out of some sort of spite and the supposed 24 hour deletion timer is to stop things like that and not to encourage buying more slots? we're talking about amazon here...

Try it in soul worker, it takes 2 weeks before you can delete a character and that's before you even play the character for the first time.

Ok here's the first thing you have to know and the thing that makes you seem like an entitled brat, LOST ARK IS DEVELOPED BY SMILE GATE NOT AMAZON. Nobody is gonna defend Amazon after the stuff they pulled with new world but they don't have any say in lost ark so get that out of your head first of all

Secondly people will go into your steam account to try and make money any way they can or just to use your payment info to get more stuff for themselves it's happened plenty of times. Also yes they will go into your lost ark account they'll transfer all of your stuff to them if they really wanted to and then move on to the next account.

Don't think you're special just because it hasn't happened to you yet.
