Why do normal dungeons?

I've noticed while I'm doing dungeons, the gear that drops is equivalent to what I get in world already. What's the point of normal dungeons? To make matters worse, same gear score items drop with one point in stat upgrade yet it says my older item is still an upgrade. That' doesn't make sense.

It really doesn't matter if you do hard or normal. The main reason to do normal is because it is faster, and gear score doesn't matter until level 50 anyway. If you are just taking your time and having fun with the game, sure do the hard mode.

Up to lvl 50 you do both difficulties just for the adventure time completion. After lvl 50 when you start getting into T1 content and onwards you do both difficulties for, again, adventure time completion and honing mats, because the first clear on both difficulties do give your honing rewards.

I like to do them solo on normal to go mokoko hunting and watch the cutscenes, then do in a party on hard to blast through mobs

only reason i do both in any case is to do my tomes. when lvling up, i ran the most needed material to me after having run islands.

Nobody does dungeons for the gear.

I do normal dungeons always, because I expect the bosses to be more manageable.

I go back to them eventually, for the adventure tome.

Skill Points are stupidly important; you want them all.

I always did both normal and hard. Both count toward adventure tome and you'll have to do it anyway for skill points.
