Tool Restoration question

QUESTION: Tool restoration kits. I noticed you can buy 50 for 65 blue crystals OR make..... what appears to be one at your home. Thing is, it uses 50 just to restore 80% to 97%. Isn't the one you can craft at ur home extremely expensive if it's just 1?

It's not just one. You make 80 at a time.

I know. I couldn't find any number showing the actual amount made either.

Do you think they're really worth it though?

I feel like I spend more gathering energy and materials repairing my tools than I do on the things I needed to gather for in the first place.

Not sure. It really is a hefty amount of resources, though.

I do have a question regarding this. Is it entirely % dependent or does it restore a specific amount of durability? Basically what I'm asking, is it better to use it on a higher grade tool or does it not matter, specifically in terms of how much max durability it restores. I'll just toss out that I know higher grade tools are better to work with, and I'm not referring to that part.

I got the same question and if rarer gear cost more to restore...my guess is yes and if yes then yikes...already a bit too expensive....

Do you guys make whole new tools usually or restore?

And are the legendary tools and so forth...worth it?
