Bug with the Maze of mirror quest

So, I did the quest with Commander Akkar I think. Beat him and all, spoke to the two guys and took the content of the chest.

But I made a mistake, I played the Trixion song...which apparently the game allow, instead of the song of Escape. Once in Trixion, I realises my mistake and left with the teleport.

I was outside the cave, as if, I never did the quest...So, no Ark in my key items.

So clearly, if there is only one option to do, at the end of the level, the game should block the other options.
