@Jay, no I'm talking about abilities specifically to each crew. I think it's done in the Korean versions but I'm guessing US doesn't have it yet?
I mean, otherwise, the Relic / Legendary crew members wouldn't be worth it if it was just pure stats as many of them really don't have stats that make that much of a difference unless it's Ashtray etc...no?
There are crew that you can get from quest reward, report rewards (need to get them to a certain level) and so on that when they are added to active part in UI will give a passive like faster sail speed, lower damage taken during travel etc.
They work very much the same as Pets when you add them in Dispatch menu.
Which that might be "best" depends on what you have access to and what you want to do. Look up on wiki for Lost Ark or any other source to see what is possible to unlock.
Like in the Korean version, I read that for example, Blackfang the crew of Ashtray, has an ability that helps gain boost per distance traveled which greatly boosted the boost meter and was one of the biggest reason to get Ashtray ship.
I believe you can use them on multiple ships, just remember that once you apply the resistance, in order to change it, you gotta pay like 20 blue crystals. Unless the skin specifically says it's only for that ship.
