How long til a name is released on a deleted level 50 character?

i've tried to create another character with the same name after deleting the other and i can't use it.

The name is held for a long time, like 60 days or something.

Greetings, heroes! We have an update to share on what happens to character names after a character is deleted.

When a character that is Level 10 or lower is deleted, that character’s name will be available for reuse right away. If a character is Level or 11 or higher, when they are deleted their name will be recycled for reuse after a 60 day period passes.

We hope this makes things a bit easier when it comes to naming your character in Arkesia!

I can't remember where I saw it, but someone mentioned they deleted their character and had that same issue. Upon contacting support, they were able to recover the deleted character and then used a name change token.

BTW, the name change does work. I did it myself a couple of days ago to instant release one of my names.

Hope they change this naming system though.

I never had a problem deleting one of my character for a name it was holding on to and using it right away... did they change it recently?

Its only on ones over level 10. But it has been that way since launch.

There is i guess a 'loophole' to this 60 day hold process. If you buy name change tickets and change your character 1's name to something else you can rename your character 2 to that characters old name with no cool down. But if you deleted the character already you are out of luck unfortunately.
