Pheons..

Am I the only one thinking that theyre way to expensive, I ran out of Pheons, because I kinda forgot about it, I saw my last purchase cost me 9 pheons for a t3 40 gold necklace or something.
So I wanted to get new Pheons and saw they normally are 1000 blue crystals for 100 Pheons, thats almost 10k gold right now, and will be way more later, thats way to much for something you only need to actually buy something that you want... it costs more then 2 months of Crystaline Aura for example, why??

Am I missing something, shouldnt we buy them from the shop? like, is there maybe a different way to get them?

I dont even know why we need them, it's a dumb system, and even more so because theyre so expensive!

its to discourage people from scalping underpriced gear and reselling it. It makes making profit reselling gear on AH alot harder.

THey hand out enough pheons every month, but just enough so you can buy essential upgrades, but not enough so you can make gold profit reselling gear.

don't waste pheons on tiny upgrades, only use them for big upgrades you wont replace soon.

Okay thanks, I guess we get Pheons every month then, its not just a one time thing? got to remember that and just not buy something if it's a small upgrade, lame,
I still think it's a dumb system tho, and I dont really see a big problem with ppl wanting to buy and re-sell, that happens in like every MMO ive ever played, and if it really was to combat ppl from scalping and reselling, then why only on gear and not honing materials for example, or skins/mounts etc, thats being bought and sold way more, and can make way more profit with that.

I still think Pheons are way too expensive, like WAY to expensive, even half of it I think would be too much, I hope that they change that in the future.

So now that we are a bit further in the game, and see that the pheons we get monthly are basically nothing, compared to the amount of pheons needed to buy one item, which is like 15 atm, do we still think it's fine?

In my opinion, it shouldnt cost more then 10% of what it is sold for now in the store, and the amount needed to buy ONE item should also be heavily reduced.
I cant be the only one that thinks this is WAY too expensive for something you only need to actually buy the thing you want.

Just think about getting some Alts in T3 and you want to gear them with decent gear, 15 pheons per item... and thats the 1370 ones, it will prob go up after that, I dont know.

Dont forget, 100 pheons normally cost 1000 blue crystals, that's over 20 euro's if you buy royal crystals to then buy the blue crystals.

Do you think, you could buy (good) stuff from the market for your T3 alts, if a 1000 blue crystals conversion is to expensive for you? Professional AH trader would flip the ♥♥♥♥ out of good items. They already do this with master kits and gems.
Spend some money, get some gold and play monopoly.

All you could buy is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear that is not even worth flipping. And at that point, why bother buying that stuff? You want the good stuff and not mediocre ones. For that, you get enough Pheons and make enough gold to buy it just with ingame time spend.

Stop. Buying. Minor. Upgrades. Period.

The amount of time I sold silly stuff on the AH is rediculous. Endurance? Really? That was worth the Pheons? Oof.

The only downside and honestly dumb decision is: Pheon cost for sending Gear to alts (roster).

Pheons are a way to milk you more and destroy all the fun you can potentially have being an AH trader. Hands down one of the stupidest ♥♥♥♥ in this game.

Yes, the price of something you only need just to buy something that you actually want is crazy, I cant believe I dont see more ppl complaining about this,
I guess most ppl are not in t3 yet and they didnt run out of free pheons they got, we can wait longer until more ppl get to T3 and run out of pheons and actually have to buy them from the store.

Now here the question. Do you think, 9k gold is a lot of gold in ilvl1370+ or even legion raids?

Lets change it a bit. How expensive are buy worthy accessories? Again ilvl1370+ or later legion stuff. 1k gold? 10k gold? 100k gold? If a leg costs 25 Pheons, you add 2250g to the cost.

I checked my market. Gear for me, that I would buy is 7k gold (actually a steal) or way more. If I bail out because the real cost is 9225g, maybe I shouldn't buy it in the first place? And that is ilvl1370.

Normal price for that gear is currently 10k+. Sorry, but adding 2k is not expensive (with the exchange rate I set) in this region.

I dont know what your talking about, spending 1k crystals on something that is literally nothing, just a item made up so I can buy what I actually want, do I find that expensive, 1k blue crystals for nothing? yes ofc I do, why do they have to be so expensive? or exist in the first place.

And yes, 1k blue crystals is alot right now, maybe if your in T3 - 1370 and can sell items for a decent price you'd be fine, but below that, stuff sells for nothing really, and by the time most of us reach 1370, those prices will have tanked loads and we wont make that much, just like how it was in t1 and t2, so yes, 1k blue crystals is a lot for the none whales.

Also, I dont know why your fine with it, you do realise, that if they didnt exist, or atleast be way ay way cheaper, it's good for every player?
1. I, or the buyer, will buy the gear we need, for my main and alts, therefor, 2, the seller will make way more gold because more ppl are buying, its real simple.

And also, how about you buy a good piece below 1370, the gold price can literally be less then the pheons you have to pay for it, we didnt all whale ourselfs to 1370 yet, better yet, most of us didnt even reach t3 yet.
