Indestructible, Cannot be dismantled

So I have an item that is unable to be removed and is forever using a slot in my bag/stash.

You should still be able to click and drag it out of your inventory and then just delete it, regardless of all the "can't get rid of this" fluff in the item text.

that is a no go, sadly, it says "Cannot destroy this item." in the chat.

The Indestructible tag kind of suggests to me that it is a quest related item. If you have not been to the Castle faceting NPC to do the intro quest for faceting, might want to check there.

If no joy there, try putting a facet on it and see if it can be destroyed then.
