since day one in t1 party finder, it was full of " know mechs, bring XXX "
and it only got worse from there
i don't play bad, i'm not a pro, but i definitely think about what i am doing and i'm also looking at my screen, i'm very used to hack n slash and hard pve content in mmo
i still get yelled at during almost all raid, even tho i often finish mvp and the people yelling at me end up dying pretty early during most pull
out of all my raid so far i think i did 2 without those kind of people
also, people refuse me for like a 3ilvl difference with another player, but when you look at his stat spread and his engraving you realize he have no clue how to build his char
i agree with you about the fact they probably think they're some sort of gods, that also deserve the clear, failing to understand this is a multiplayer game
those people will move on another game to ruin another community without long, give them 2 more weeks, mayre a little more, and things should calm down, hopefully
i joined a guild, hoping for them to do some content and make friends along the way
this is the case in every mmo tho, go premade or brace yourself.
levels:
LFR = ♥♥♥♥ tier, does't matter how many x you die the boss die also it gets failure and participation raid buffs.
Normal = no matter how many times u try and u don't know the fight, the boss will not die.
Hard(old version of normal in wow) = no room for errors
Mythic = no room for errors with extra deadly mechanics and multiple phase with baked in mechanics.
I mean u have ppl advocating that you should watch videos/read guides even for T1 and T2. The sad thing is they think we are toxic for not doing that because its "courtesy."
Personally when I get to the point of doing stuff with other people and I know the mechanics. I'm going to welcome newcomers and have fun playing because I believe making new connections with people in life is more important then winning. A lot of the toxicity comes from people that go in with bad attitudes about losing materials for crafting stuff and generally if you go in with negativity your bound to fail at the task at hand.
I always try to teach people when it's their first time in a dungeon/raid, makes the experience and clear more satisfying.
this stuff is just so avoidable.
1. get a guild... just do stuff with them
2. create your own partys in party finder. i allready met so many cool people i regulary do stuff with that arent even on my server now... every time i create a party, and asking people if they wanna join discord aswell, usually 1-2 people join, and you talk and they stay on the server afterwards. i can now basicly do whatever content with people from 6 different servers because i just ask them on discord and they ll join the party on groupfinder after.
i barely play matchmaking at all.
if you want to impose rules thats when you use party finder. it even has a text input and adjustable iLvl limits
I find it funny when players wallet to get to T3 super hard and have no skillsets or builds for them to rely on WHEN it matters.
In T2 I've seen red build Gunlancers in Guardian raids thinking their damage is huge. A blue Gunlancer is god like in almost every guardian encounter. But they choose damage. I think it is a learning process from learning base mechanics like HIGH stagger - Destruction skills from T1 - T2 then use those skill-sets on T3 especially HARD.
In T2 players still can't press spacebar, sitting on red, eat all lives in Guardians, not learn a single skill sets that should help them in T3.
Good news is most of them will more likely quit when Legion comes out. Or wallet harder to find some sort of progression.
the amount of incompetent players at Tier 2 Abyss raid is beyond comprehension, they die tot he same mechanics over 20 times and still dont seem to get any better, this is why you think its Toxic, it sjust people tired of it already, you explain and try to work with them but you get nothing out of it but frustration because one guy cant properly learn or do something after dozens of tries causing everyone to wipe.
Or maybe you're just not good at explaining things.
