What to do with old gear?

Is it safe to simply dismantle it all?

you can gear transfer your old gear into your new gear for a +1 upgrade and save some materials. That's if you haven't started upgrading them already.

So you can transfer your T1 gear into your T2 gear etc?

If it is +15 you can hone it to get +1 tier wise with gear transfer.

also you can transfer within a tier to keep the full stack of upgrades.

i.e. if you transfer an epic +12 T1 to legendary T1. the legendary gets the full +12 (so long as its the same tier)

But, since I don't know a thing about "T1" and "T2" and stuff, and I get new gear every few steps, I felt that dismantling was quite ok.

no you need to keep it ALL like in every other Mmorpg.
If you dismantle or sell gear you just waste time

if you are less than level 50 dismantle everything to get that free silver (buy selling the junk you get from dismantling leveling gear)

since tier transition offer very min benefits, you can also opt to keep your older gear in a separate slot for the integrated presets. This way you can go back to lower tiers and play with your friends without trivializing their content by oneshotting everything.

If you do this, remember to item lock and sort lock your gear so you dont accidentally lose them.
