Report a translation problem
As Kargor so eloquently stated, it's probably for the best.
I'm not concerned about this.
What worries me more is the fact that items might have slightly different names depending on where they are referenced. For example, some of the Tome items are named differently on the item itself, and in the tome.
This should be technically impossible -- an item has an ID, and that ID has a name (I'm ignoring localizations here -- the item has multiple names, but once you've committed to a language you're down to one). Thus, the name should be the same everywhere... but it's not, which suggests a sloppy design.
I've also noticed that some of the text in menus, but mostly the timer bar when doing an action can be cut off, like the text was too long for the box to show and it wasn't stretched out to fit the new translated dialogue).
Wasn't this game delayed due to translation issues? Looks to me like they were rushed badly and couldn't do a full QC prior to release.
Yeah, that too. I can kind of accept that people don't want to make a fully-featured layout engine, but they should be aware that not having an automated system means having to manually check every text...
Or maybe it's just laziness again. If they are doing their own text rendering, they can probably raise an error if they are clipping a text string...
