Why is there a guild join cooldown?

Was in a guild with an inactive guildmaster, then i left and got a 4 day cooldown on joining a new guild.Now im in my second guild with an inactive guildmaster, and if i leave now i cant join a new for 8 days... GG

i think its to prevent abuse in the guild vs guild wars but that many days seems overkill

It should be 1 day and not more.
That's how alot of streamers explained it.

yeah, 8 days is enough time to make a different character and put them in another guild, way too long

When I left a guild, I think during early access I had a 5 min cooldown. 4 days sounds a bit excessive, how many guilds did you leave?

yes. this 4 days (which then says 3.. for some reason) is a joke'

I joined a guild "hey join us super active". They had 31/32 people. I joined, and leader wasn't on for like 3 days. lmao.

No one in the guild of 32. NO ONE, went up more than 100 ilvl (and most werent even level 50.. but some were. This was a week ago, so most people new).

So we had a lvl 500 dude hit 506... in 3 days. numerous 500+ guys didnt log in for 2 days. etc

You leave. Since it's dead. and NO ONE IS ON, and guild doesnt progress.

"you sure you want to leave, its a 4 day penalty". You leave. and the timer counts down, and it says "3 days". (which is really 3 day 23 hours 59 minutes)

Two in all. The first one was just to get the achivements. The second was the first guild where the guildmaster became inactive. And after i left the first guild, it was only a 5 minute cooldown. Now its 8 days, if i leave the 3rd guild...

Sure, but why should people be in an inactive guild just because of this stupid cooldown? I know they triede to implant a fix for it, by making a guild deputy who can take over the guild if the guildmaster is inactive for xx days. But that dosnt help if the guild master didnt set anyone to deputy.

exact same situation.

And first one I left. I joined for achievement and IT TOO WAS DEAD.

So two dead guilds. TWO. both with 30/30 or 32/32 people. and BOTH had guild leaders not log in (you can SAFELY assume they are done with the game.)

I left one.. Didnt notice a penalty. left second one after being in it for almost a week. and got 4 day penalty.

I'm not a hopper, but DO want a guild that people play in. Not a parking lot for alts, or people who quit the game already.

Just seems like they didnt think this through. Just like the 50 friends achivement. The entire chat on my server is "add me"
