world of warcraft is pay to play and still sell boosts and allows you to buy gold lol. there are no f2p without boosts and if they are, they are really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with very little content.
Wow the gold standard of mmos is pay to play with mandatory subs and sells boosts. Count yourself lucky finding anything less monetized than wow.
bro not everyone wants to play space excel spreadsheet simulator online
I agree with this as a long term eve player but eve kinda is pay to win in the strictest sense, at least it is now that skill injectors exist. you can legit pay and just jump into things that would have taken months or like half a year, you can create day 1 orca pilots and things like that. but like you said, you can buy whatever you want but it doesn't give you experience. the more money you put into the game, the more you simply lose. most ppl know you only win eve when you quit playing it.
In Warframe, you can make your own collection goals then go for them on a casual level. You definitely don't need to spend any real money on it. The closest you get to a paywall in Warframe is weapon and frame slots, but even those can be obtained through Nightwave and events if you're patient or don't want every weapon and frame in your inventory.
But I do think GW2 is a better F2P game. That one is absolutely cosmetics only to enjoy everything, whereas Warframe does try to push plat purchases to skip the grind a lot.
Although there are still somewhat anoying aspects like bagslots that can be bought. Atleast if I remember correct.
No I don't think so.
But they are cheap. Are you that tight on a budget? :D
I don't think you look for a non p2w but rather a totaly free game in every regard without any semi meaningfull limitations? Is that correct?
Microtransactions.
In Warframe, you can buy almost anything with real money, but then you're just stuck with a full inventory and no desire to play. That game is all about the collection grind. You can buy affinity/resource/resource drop chance boosters with real money, but why? You can already get those from daily logins, sorties, etc. If you're going to buy anything in Warfame, buy cosmetics. And even then, you can always just farm prime parts and sell them for plat to buy those if you don't want to spend money. Very, very few games allow you to relatively easily obtain their real-money currency by doing in-game activities. That's one of the major reasons they've done so well, imo. But they still seem to do very well from people willing to pay real money for plat to skip the game.
GW2 sells cosmetics mostly for its profits, which can only be bought with gems, which can only be bought with real money. You can trade gold for gems, but the trade ratio is so steep that it's out of bounds for your average casual player.
