stutters + freezing like 2 sec.
specs are: 5900x neg-30 + 6900 xt plt15% 2600mhz, 32 gskill 3800c14 xmp1,hx1200w,aorus pro v2, G7 1440p 240hz, steelseries m+k, lost ark is installed on nvme (1tb clear) and win on separate nvme 512.+other 2/2 ssd and hdd which i check with hd sentinel pro, everything is running under 70C on load in any game(cpu60,gpu70,hdd/ssd/nvme/sshd 45C, rams 34C, mobo 40) and in lost ark even under 50C with gpu and cpu, but:
only in lost ark i have this issue, everything is maxed, just disabled motion blur, and gpu clock stays under 900- 1500mhz and 70-80% load with 240fps locked, i have just issues when i go town, it drops to 90-150 but it's causing stutters/ massive freezes like 1-2sec.

tried from adrenaline setting 239 min fps and 245max fps but same problem, disabled amd freesync premium pro, switched to amd anti lag etc, i can't figure it out how to make gpu constant pumping fps and not going "idle kinda". windows on high performance, powerbattery settings max performance, min5% cpu and also i got all my drivers cpu/mobo/bios/gpu/windows updated.
in any other game i have smooth and fluid experiences with no stutter but here seems lost ark is not pushing the cpu/gpu.

edit : tried borderless/fullscreen/windowed; tried bios disable 4g resize, locked cpu to 4.6ghz all core, enabled pbo/disabled pbo/neg 30, pushed gpu on min 2000mhz max 2625, still same issue in towns/teleporting.

This issue has been reported probably hundreds of thousands of times between the Lost Ark forum and Steam. It's the game, I'm convinced now. Hopefully they can optimize it.

I've probably spent more time trying to fix the stuttering issues than playing the actual game. It stutters almost everytime I start combat making the game extremely unenjoyable.

I have a pretty beefy system: i7 8700k, 16GB RAM, RTX 3080 and game is installed on an NVMe SSD.

Does sound weird but right click both "Normal" and "System" chat tabs and click settings. Then, untick area, my loot, party loot, xp and currency for both tabs. Game no longer stutters any more!

this didn't work. still, when i tp i can see from 240fps going down to 1>17>60>90 in loading screen and then i pop in the city and stuttering a couple of seconds till it goes 150+ and remains at 239-243.
now i ll try the previous advice.

I'm not sure but I believe it might have something to do with Unreal Engine 3 and the Netcode they have implemented. Also I imagine the distance to the server that you are connected to will affect how fast things get loaded to your PC. Luckily for me I live a couple hours away from the servers that host the game and only seem to have any issues when the server is busy.

Its the server overloaded with people and bots. I logged in right after maintenance and it was smooth in major cities and zero lag. Same day or shortly after once everybody was on again and bots were flooding now its lagging all around cities and npcs and portals and raid points dont spawn for like 15 secs after porting in.
Nyandragon Feb 26, 2022 @ 11:11pm
it might just be something engine or server related atm.

usually you can fix alot of loading popins in unreal engines in their ini. files but i havent find a location yet.

same issue, my fps usually stay ar around 120 but every time i teleport somewhere, fps dip down to 40ish for like 3-4 seconds in cities while the game loads in stuff. You can see that with npcs not loaded in yet so you cant talk to them for a couple seconds for example, once everything is loaded in, fps go back to normal.

i dont remember, i had those issues on founders days. it might have something to do with stuff they did to counter server stress issues, so the server loads stuff in slower eventually?
AFrolicious01 Feb 26, 2022 @ 11:15pm
If your game only stutters for a few seconds after you load into a town and then its fine its not that big of a deal. There are alot of people and things to load in. If I misunderstood and you have stuttering even after then it may be related to what some other people have posted.

Try this: right click on your normal chat tab and select chat tab settings. Uncheck area chat.
