I feel like the problem is that the game is overall too easy. Theres no compelling "need" to do anything other than level as fast as you can and then raise your ilvl as fast as you can.
If the game was actually difficult maybe we'd feel compelled to actually learn all of the systems and make use of them. As is the vast majority of game features feel like a bloated unneeded mess. Then the fact that most of them are completely tedious doesn't help.
Game has some amazing visuals and some of the fights can be quite fun, but I'm really struggling to continue playing.
Edit note: I'm including endgame in the too easy category.
The ony bad thing of all this new features it's the waiting times and gambling mechanics for chances to upgrade.
I'm not sure, but I think there is an in game guide to recheck all stuff already said by the game tutorials. Anyway, go slow (and I know the text it's a pain in the ass, specially after the already book boring heavy campaing) but try to re read the tutorial and you will see that it's simple enough.
But yeah, as you said: it's overloaded.
Like games like these, and mobile games will be like here's this cool resource to play with. Give you a short demo of how it works and then almost encourage you to burn it.
Only to find out there's a catch later.
Feathers is one such thing. If you listen to the folks that played the Korea version you get only so many of these through adventure journals and story. Then that's it. You gotta start purchasing them. But they just kinda hand them out and give you the option to use them if you die at lvl 20. Battle items too. They auto equip them. I've fat fingered a bunch of stuff that I for sure didn't even want equipped that takes me 5000 trade skills worth of mats or more to recraft even one of.
For things like engraving, its like you're given bags full of stuff to do it. But i want to go read whether or not I'm going to be forever burning those items on low level gear needlessly right now. Or if I should be hoarding it all like I am the dungeon items.
Its not so much complexity sometimes as like if I mess this up am I burning myself down the line.
What I level are you and have you done phantom palace? The game is deft not easy at end game
dont feed the fake trolls. hes a private level zero account. He has a level 20 character max.. He has no idea what hes talking about. Any noob who says "the game is easy" post 50, is obviously lying. you can move on.
I constantly carry people through 340 and 420 raids. CONSTANTLY.. LIKE DOZENS OF TIMES A DAY, after spending 10 hours in chat, answering questions. Because the game AINT easy.
And thats just the FIRST bosses lmao.
Im terrified of t3 bosses. And people still can't do the 420????? lmao. yeah the game aint easy. First clue is a Private level 0 steam troll account, Second is when they says its easy. You can automatically know is a BS post.
Move along, nothing to see here.
Anyway, it's not that the systems exist, it's how they present them.
This game is a walking / cutscene simulator for 25 lvls. You just walk along rolling your face across the KB, then suddenly, out of no where...
BAM. Here's 46 things you NEED to know and each one has super rare mats so don't waste them!
Oh and by the way, don't screw them up. you can really mess up your character. (they actually say that as i recall)
I felt the same way as OP. Every time i finished looking at one system, there was another one. I went from enjoying the game, to feeling like i had no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what was going on almost instantly.
I just want to add that I actually love "grindy stuff". I love to grind for weeks, months and etc.
I just don't like "far-fetched" features or bad presented, confusing and convoluted.
So far ability stone + engraving was the really confusing one... But tomorrow I will go on a deep research on google/sites and etc... I just got frustrated today and mentally tired of the overloaded information and features but after I rest I will ace it hehehe.
I AM in fact LOVING this game and I believe I will not quit.
There are a few things I wish I would have done that related to this, like holding onto all my roster bound chests until I'd decided on a main. 45% healing pots, flares, grenades, engravings, etc. It feels bad having this stuff essentially sit on what you thought would be your main. It is what it is though; better to find a much more fun class to play and lose some stuff than be miserable.
