Nobody is trying to take the game away from you. The question was if the game was kid friendly. Obviously an online casino is not kid friendly.

When you kill human enemies they explode in chunks of meat everywhere. That alone wouldn't be kid friendly to me. Apparently nipples are way more dangerous however.

Like a great many games today, there are large parts of Lost Ark which are specifically aimed at a younger audience. You just have to look at the Tortoyk island story arc, with its cutesy mokoko 'tiny folk' and chibi rock people to see that adults are not really the focus audience for a lot of this game. This is regardless of the excessive fantasy-style violence the game portrays.

The game is 18 largely due to the monetisation elements contained within. Kids start spending their parents money on in-game stuff and when the proverbial hits the fan and agencies start to examine the business practices, AGS (Smilegate as well) can turn around and say, 'welp, we did put an age restriction on this, can't help bad parenting now...'

You get the picture? And yes, the cartoonish skins will attract more kids, it's what they are psychologically meant to do. Regardless of how many people out there argue otherwise.

At the end of the day, its down to you and your younger brother on what you are going to do.

Are you going to play with him? That might be for the best to ensure that he isn't upset by anything, but also that he doesn't get sucked into the need to spend money on what is essentially, a flashy fruit machine.

I think a 9 year old would struggle to understand the concept of this game. Its not exactly easy to pickup and i would say its not kid friendly either

you can buy things in game with real money to help you progress and some people can not help themselves and spend a lot, that and the game stats that it is for 18+ only i would not let a 9 year old play this game
